The idea quickly became a popular joke online. Despite Thanos supposedly losing in only one timeline, many people remember him mainly for that defeat rather than for the millions of scenarios where he succeeded.
The humor reflects something surprisingly human. People often focus more on a single failure than on a long history of success. A great athlete can have a legendary career but be remembered for one missed shot. A successful entrepreneur can build an empire yet still be associated with one costly mistake.
In that sense, Thanos became a funny example of how history often remembers dramatic losses more vividly than consistent victories.
What's especially ironic is that, within the story, Thanos is incredibly successful. He defeats Earth's strongest heroes, collects all six Infinity Stones, and accomplishes the goal he spent years pursuing. For a time, he achieves exactly what he set out to do.
