Now it can be a transformation, a content day, a catch-up session, a therapy appointment 😂 and somehow a full-blown production all at once.

I’ve been doing hair for over 25 years, and somewhere along the way I realized this career was never just about hair.💁🏼‍♀️

You sit behind the chair long enough and you end up doing life with people.

You hear about the new job, the breakup, the wedding, the babies, the big moves, the hard seasons, the really good seasons and then a couple months later they’re back in your chair and you pick up right where you left off.

Some of my clients have been with me for years. I’ve watched their lives change, and they’ve watched mine change too.

Of course I love creating beautiful hair. I love the transformations, the creativity and everything this career has allowed me to build.

But the part I don’t think you fully understand when you first become a hairstylist is how many people you’ll genuinely come to care about.

They start out as clients.

And somewhere between the foils, the extensions, the blowouts and a thousand conversations… they become your people.
