Hey, I’m Stephanie, owner and operator of Shearly Twisted Scissors.

I’ve been behind the chair for 9+ years. I went to cosmetology school because I knew I wouldn’t be happy working retail forever, and I wanted to build something my daughter could be proud of. I’ve always been the artistic one, and that never really went away. It just found a chair, a pair of shears, and a whole lot of purple.

I love this work. I will happily talk your ear off about why we’re doing something a certain way, because I get a little educational when I care, and I care a lot. My favorite part is helping someone fall back in love with their hair and bringing the look they’ve been picturing to life. Hair health always comes first. I will not put it on the line for a trend.

Finding the right stylist is personal, and that’s okay. If I’m not your cup of tea, I won’t take it to heart. The right fit matters more than a forced match.

A little about me: I’m a creature of habit, I love dark and spooky things all year, and I am, in fact, strange and unusual. Favorite colors are black and purple. Outside the salon, my world is my 10-year-old daughter and our furry kid, Bear, a Border Collie mix who thinks he runs the house.
