Am I a good candidate for extensions?
The beauty of having a consultation with me is that when you sit in my chair, it isn’t a one size fits all situation.
The first thing I will do is look at the texture of your hair and the density of your hair. Next, we will discuss what length you are hoping to achieve with extensions. We will also discuss any past experiences with extensions and how you felt with those experiences.
If you have fine hair, I will typically recommend less hair. The least amount of hair you have installed on each row will give you the most comfort and least stress on your hair.
If you have thicker hair, be prepared to need more extensions to achieve your goals. If you have thicker hair and are looking to go longer, we will need to match your density in extensions to get a more natural look.
When will I tell you no? Generally if your hair is too short. If you are growing out a pixie cut or a very short bob, it’s extremely difficult to make it all blend and look perfect. I do have experience with adding extensions into a bob to help grow out her hair, but there are serious ground rules that we would have to go over including cutting into your natural hair to get it all to blend and look as natural as possible. If that’s a hard no from you, then waiting is going to be your best bet!
