I am a Redken certified haircolorist with 32 years experience. I worked as a Redken educator traveling the world teaching hair stylists. Our story is your story.
After owning a salon in Long Beach for 16 years I have opened a studio close to home in Lake Forest. Rocket Science, founded in 2003, was conceived as postmodern conception of the classical Parisian salon to literally create constant "gathering of fashionable people." I don’t understand offering a “silent appointment” as an option. It’s not an interrogation, if you’re tired and just want to relax, just say that. Let’s not make it awkward by preemptively deciding that you don’t want to engage in a friendly conversation with me.

We took a little inspiration from the beautiful game and turned everyday salon moments into penalty-worthy offenses. Apparently, brushing hair, blow drying, and using a spray bottle are all cardable offenses. 🤷♀️

Thirty-eight years in the beauty industry, seventeen years as a salon owner, 18 years as a Redken educator and now a new chapter.
Watching IMAGE Studios Huntington Beach come to life has been an incredible experience. Every milestone we hit makes this dream feel more real.

Three years ago, I took a leap and became the very first Salon Pro to sign on at IMAGE Studios Laguna Hills… and what a journey it’s been ✨
Today we celebrate 3 years open, and I’m so grateful to Barry and Wendi for their vision, leadership, and the incredible community they’ve built. Being part of this from the very beginning has been something truly special.
Watching this space grow has meant more to me than I can put into words.
And now… I’m beyond excited for what’s ahead. To step into ownership and be part of bringing IMAGE Studios Huntington Beach to life is such an honor. I can’t wait to build something just as amazing there.

Ok Here’s the big news!!!
This week the lease was officially signed for Image Studios Huntington Beach and I’m incredibly honored and grateful to share that Wendi and Barry have invited me to become their partner and Operational Manager for this new location.
After 38 years in the hair industry, opportunities like this don’t come along every day, and I’m so excited to be part of building something special with such an amazing team.
To all of my wonderful clients, nothing is changing with your appointments in Laguna Hills. I will still be behind the chair doing the hair I love and taking care of all of you.
Once Huntington Beach opens (projected for the end of this year), I will likely spend one day a week there, which will also make it easier for many of my Long Beach clients to see me.
And if you’re a salon professional looking for a beautiful new space to grow your business, keep us in mind!
Image Studios Huntington Beach will be located right off the 405 at Golden West & Bolsa and we’ll be looking for talented professionals to join our community.
