I knew my client would eventually need to go shorter but I also knew she wasn’t ready. 🤍
During her first appointment, we had an honest conversation. I explained that sometimes we have to let go of what’s no longer serving us. Those heat-damaged ends were keeping her curls from reaching their full potential, and there was only so much bounce they could produce.
But trust can’t be rushed.
Instead of pushing her into a haircut she wasn’t emotionally ready for, we came up with a plan. We focused on the health of her hair first and gave her the time she needed to feel confident in the decision.
A week later, she came back.
This time, she was ready not because I convinced her, but because she understood why.
Sometimes the biggest transformation isn’t the haircut itself. It’s building enough trust that your client feels heard, supported, and confident every step of the way. And that’s something I’ll never take for granted. ✨

Hair trauma is real. For many women, the fear of losing length is bigger than the damage itself.
Before recommending a big chop, I believe in understanding my client’s concerns, educating them on their options, and creating a plan that aligns with both their goals and the health of their hair.
Not every journey starts with cutting everything off. Sometimes it starts with trust, a thoughtful trim, the right routine, and consistency.
My job isn’t just to cut hair it’s to walk alongside my clients and help them feel confident every step of the way. ✨

And honestly, I wouldn’t have it any other way.
To some people, it’s just hair. But to me, it’s my ministry.
It’s listening to women who have lost confidence in themselves, educating them about their hair, helping them see the beauty they already carry, and reminding them they’re worthy of feeling confident.
I prayed for these long days behind the chair, and I’ll never take them for granted.
