I was watching the weather today and it looks like there is more rain for Florida. 😌 It's humid enough already. Sounds like ponytail season to me. I only ever get a chance to do ponys when at wrestling.

That last post led me down a rabbit hole digging up Glamour Shots photos. 😆

I am so proud of my Glamour Shots upbringing. I have so many stories but this is the first story that started my trajectory to work at GS.

When I started beauty school I was alittle cocky. I grew up in a household with 4 females. They were my personal Barbies. I had been practicing styling and cutting hair my entire life. So school was a breeze until the day I cut a little boy's ear in the school salon. Then it dawned on me that I would be working on strangers. I could cut them. I could ruin their hair. They will be living life everyday with what I do. All of a sudden, I didn't want to do hair anymore and came close to dropping out. In an effort to change my mind, my teacher got me a job at Olan Mills Glamour Studio so I could adapt to working on strangers. I worked there until it closed then went to Glamour Shots. I stayed there almost 12 years. In that time, I worked on so many people. The thought that there are people out there that say "this is one of my favorite pictures of me", warms my heart. Now this is my 30th year being a professional hairstylist and makeup artist. 😍

Did yall know i worked 11.5 years at Glamour Shots?? My family did this shoot in our 20s. It was our first professional pictures together as adults. As camera phones evolve there are less and less professional family photos being done.

Thank you Florida for not being too hot. I know this is temporary. But I am waiting on the cold.

I just got a cancelation for tomorrow. I have availability tomorrow and Saturday. Next week I will be in the salon Wednesday and Friday. I am still doing my October makeup promo. $75 for a full face. $65 if you are a client. $50 if you are getting a hair color and want to add makeup. Sometimes Im so inspired to do makeup. Plus, I have new products I want to work into my routine.

HSN has been doing its holiday promo shoots and I am happy I was on hand for hair and makeup. It was like stepping back in time. All of my favorite hosts to work with.

Schedule change! I will now be in Florida all next week. Not Philly.

I love me a vintage bride. This was an engagement shoot. This bride wanted a pinup look. I did hair and makeup and also helped with styling. The red dress is from my inventory at Classic Concepts Photo and Film.

Great job! Beautiful shoot. I also ended up doing her glam for the wedding a year later. She said their makeup lasted all night long. On the beach! Nailed it!
