Another milestone for Tu Organics LLC! 🎉

Today has been a day full of blessings.

I am excited to share that after becoming a Certified Cranial Prosthesis Specialist, Tu Organics LLC / Tu Organics Salon has officially received its National Provider Identifier (NPI).

This is another important step toward expanding our services to support individuals experiencing medically related hair loss, including cancer patients and survivors, individuals with alopecia, burn survivors, and others who may need a medical-grade cranial prosthesis.

For me, this is about so much more than wigs. ❤️

It is about restoring confidence, dignity, and hope during some of life’s most challenging moments.

There is still work ahead as we navigate insurance credentialing and the requirements necessary to expand these services, but today I am celebrating this milestone.

They told me another degree wasn’t worth it. After earning my MBA from California State University-San Bernardino in 2020, I faced the same doubts. Why go back? What will it change? Is it worth the cost?

I understood their concerns. But they didn’t know the woman making that decision. While others invested in designer brands, I chose to invest in my growth, trusting that God would use me to serve others.

Every tough season equipped me with resilience, humility, courage, and the commitment to forge a different future.

Now, I am in my third year of a Doctor of Business Administration at the University of La Verne.

Not because I need another title, but because I know education transforms lives.

One person who believed in me was Dr. Mike Stull. As an undergraduate, I asked him:

“Do you think I should pursue a doctoral degree?”

I wasn’t asking about my MBA.

I was still working on my bachelor’s degree.

I was seeking direction.

Without hesitation, he said, “Absolutely.”

He told me that as an African Black woman pursuing leadership, I would bring a unique perspective the world needed to hear. He emphasized not to underestimate my voice or experiences and challenged me to pursue the highest level of education if given the chance.

I remember his confidence in me before I fully believed in myself.

You may not recall that conversation, but I do.

Your words helped shape a decision that continues to change my life.

What Dr. Stull couldn't fully know that day was how much his words meant to me.

In my twenties, I was an exotic dancer. I hid that chapter out of shame. Today, I openly embrace my story. I don’t celebrate every decision, but I honor the woman who survived them.

Because some people believed in me before I fully believed in myself, I now want to be that person for others.

After more than 20 years in the beauty industry, my goal is to create a beauty academy that transforms lives. I want students to master leadership, entrepreneurship, professionalism, confidence, and the belief that the impossible is achievable.

My doctoral research centers on leadership in independent salons because I believe great leaders transform lives.

Most importantly, I want my daughters to understand: Your past may explain where you started.

It never has to determine where you finish.

If my journey encourages even one person to believe it’s never too late to begin again, then every obstacle I have faced has served a purpose.
