A Legacy Award…..There are moments in life that feel far greater than the recognition itself, and this was one of them.
Being named a 2026 Legacy Honoree by is something I am deeply grateful for. But what will stay with me long after the applause fades is not the award, it’s the people. To follow in the footsteps of past recipients….Vidal Sassoon, Paul Mitchel, Leland Hirsch, Horst Rechelbacher, Martin Parsons, and so many more is truly humbling and an honor.
The room was filled with those who have shaped my journey - my family, my chosen family, my work family, and an entire community of passionate, creative, and generous professionals who continue to elevate this industry. Standing among them was both humbling and grounding.
For me, this industry has never been just about hair. It’s been about connection. About mentorship. About lifting others while being lifted in return. It’s about building something that outlives us, something that creates opportunity, inspires growth and leaves a path for the next generation to walk with confidence.
And then….there was one moment that will stay with me forever, standing beside my son. In that instant, everything became very clear. It wasn’t about achievements or milestones. It was gratitude. It was about the journey, the people who believe in me along the way, and the privilege of sharing that moment with him.
That is what legacy truly means to me.
