I found this little girl (squirrel) barely alive this morning while walking the Old Mill Pond trail. Unfortunately lying next to her was her siblings who were already gone. However I was able to pick her up and take her home. My wife and I warmed her up with a heating pad and kept her comfortable until a representative from Palmetto Wildlife Rescue and Rehabilitation of South Carolina picked her up this evening. She is on the way to making a recovery and living a happy squirrel life. Town of Lexington, SC

Today marks my 100th day in a row walking 4-6 laps at the Old Mill pond. I’ve been coming here since the day they opened and I’ve walked in the rain, below freezing, and 100 degree temps but today is 100 consecutive days. Maybe I’ll take tomorrow off.
