One of the main ways that you get air bubbles in your hard gel is by moving it around way too much. It happens to the best of us. Put a design over it and let’s keep it moving 🤫😂🤷🏾‍♀️

I want to be able to help people out who do gel X. I see a lot of Gel x sets looking a little thick 😬🫣

So let me help you out with that!😉 here are a few reasons why my Gel x sets last so long and look so natural.

1️⃣I don’t play about the prep of the natural nail and the Gel x tip. I’ve been using Gel X for 8 years now so, I know some people like to chemically itch the tip; but I don’t play that! I etched the tip with a sanding band. And I’ll never stop doing it that way 😌

2️⃣ I’m always going to use a fine to medium grit carb bit to finish off my Gel X. Whatever the next Nail artist does is their business 🙏🏾. I’ve been doing it like this for years and that’s what gives it that slimming effect. Do whatever works for you. But as far as me and my house… we gonna serve the Lord 😄

3️⃣ I will always go over the cuticle with a a small angled brush and acetone. Idc idc. It’s never broken down any of my clients nails for over eight years. So if you have a problem with it, I don’t care. Also, depending on the client and what they want sometimes I’ll do a structured manicure type of finish.

Either you get it or you don’t. The grind to get to where you want to be in life (at least for me) is relentless. There are times that I just can’t turn my mind off. 🤷🏾‍♀️

I started off in the nail industry, just like you. No clients, a love for what I do, and a drive out this world to make it in this industry.

It has been almost a decade that I’ve been doing nails and I’ve learned a lot about how you keep clients in your chair. So let’s go over a couple points that I think will help you out.

1️⃣ 🗣️CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!
I will never stop talking about how important it is to make sure that your customer service is top-tier. So for those of you who don’t know what customer service is; let’s get a little old school with it. Treat people the way that you wanna be treated. So let’s do one of the easiest things that we can do, and that’s be nice to our clients. It is a blessing to have people book with you AND want to come back to patronize your business again. But they won’t wanna do that if you’re not kind.

2️⃣🗣️KEEP YOUR SALON CLEAN
Please🙏🏾 I beg you, clean your salon. Have clean tools. Wipe down your desk. Wipe down your seat. Sweep the floor because it’s a hazard ⚠️ 😂 AND FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, CLEAN THAT NASTY LED LAMP 😷🫪

3️⃣ MAKE SURE YOUR POLICIES ARE CLEAR
Make sure that your policies are clear and fair. Don’t make your clients have to guess when booking with you. And make sure that it’s fair for both parties. Meaning that the grace period of being tardy it’s fair for both parties. If you’re more than 10 minutes late, you should take something off their service, just like they would owe you a late fee if they’re late.
