Happy 30th birthday to me
L30 Szn

August 5, 2023, history took a seat, then picked one up.

On the Montgomery Riverfront, ordinary people did extraordinary things, and one humble folding chair earned a permanent place in the Black Cultural Hall of Fame.

What began as an act of injustice, signaled by a single white cap, became a global reminder that when our community answers the call, we answer together for the historical event formally known today as “Fade In The Water.”

We honor the courage of those who stood up, swam across that water, and squared up for justice!

Because as the song reminds us, a chair is still a chair, even when it's swung.

Happy Chairteenth!

Thank you for supporting The Bess Experience ✨

I am currently seeking a salon environment that is family- and child-friendly, with a welcoming atmosphere for walk-in clients. I’m looking for a clean, professional space with genuine individuals and a supportive, growing community. I am also interested in opportunities that support stylists in rebuilding and expanding their clientele.
