Most people only see the appointment itself, but there’s so much that happens before you ever walk through the door. I usually get here almost an hour early with 30 mins in between each client. Not because anyone is making me, but because I need that time too.

Time to clean.
Time to reset.
Time to decompress.
Time to make sure the room feels peaceful and ready.

I want your appointment to feel intentional. I want you to know that someone thought about you before you arrived.

The truth is, I love what I do. I love helping people feel better in their skin, feel more confident, or just have a quiet place to exist for an hour. Taking care of people gives me purpose, and I don’t take that responsibility lightly.

My capacity may only be a few appointments a day, but I’d rather give a handful of people my absolute best than rush through a packed schedule and become burnt out before the end of the week!

Life as an esthetician managing acne.

One of the hardest truths I share is that acne doesn’t have a cure. It can be managed, but there isn’t a magic facial, product, or treatment that makes it disappear forever.

I know because I’ve live it. “I know ball” as the kiddos are saying 😝

I spent years damaging my skin barrier thinking I was helping my skin. At my worst, I had picked my skin into literal open wounds. As a teenager, I struggled with picking when I was anxious. It felt uncontrollable. Almost impossible to stop because I would do it without even realizing! When I went to a dermatologist they told me I was my own problem, put me on accutane, and just made my insecurities worse with zero advice on how to “fix” my acne.

What changed my skin wasn’t just a facial or medicine.

It was changing my habits, and paying closer attention to ingredients that my skin agrees with (even in my diet).

Learning to keep my hands off my face.
Being consistent with my routine.
Supporting my skin barrier instead of attacking it.
Paying attention to my triggers.
Giving my skin time to heal.

Managing acne isn’t about being perfect and thinking you’ll never have a flare up again. It’s about making small choices consistently over time. My management made me no longer considered an acne client, I just have breakouts during menstruation now.
