after years of formulating, Asya still approaches every product with the same curiosity: listening, observing, experimenting, and refining until the formula feels complete

if you look closely, every small business becomes a reflection of the person building it
it reflects the products they choose to make, the details they refuse to compromise on, the questions they spend years trying to answer, and eventually the values that they live on
for four years, bba has been shaped by a particular way
a fascination with how plants work, a tendency to stop and notice seasonal changes, a belief that science and intuition can occupy the same space, a preference for simplicity over excess, a curiosity that turns everyday observations into formulations, rituals, and products in short, bba has been shaped by how Asya Grigoryan, MSc views the world around her
everything she creates begins with a question, an observation, a piece of research, a conversation over tea, a walk outdoors, or a detail that refuses to go unnoticed
over time, these fragments accumulate and become what people know as bba

where we stand today
for the past four years since we launched our products, we’ve been building a small business rooted in intention, consistency, and a belief in clean, effective skincare
today, thanks to our community, we’ve grown into something much bigger:
5,000+ orders fulfilled
5,000+ customers served
hundreds of thousands in cumulative sales achieved
our most-loved products continue to be:

what we’re especially proud of is that this growth has been largely organic
we haven’t run advertising campaigns for the past eight months, and yet our community continues to grow through repeat customers, recommendations, and genuine word of mouth
that kind of trust means everything to us!

four years ago, bba began with a simple belief: nature knows best
working as a small brand meant making decisions that are rarely visible from the outside, from careful ingredient research and responsible sourcing to independent testing and building relationships with suppliers we could genuinely trust
in an industry shaped by speed, scale, and constant comparison, we chose a different pace
and somewhere along that path, something unexpected happened
what held everything together was never reach, trends, or timing
it was people
for months, there were no campaigns, no ads, no shortcuts, only connections
people who found us, stayed with us, and shared the same values of simplicity, safety, and intention
slowly, bba stopped being just a collection of products and became something more living, more human

for years, skincare has been marketed through aesthetics, scents, and trends
but formulation science says something much less romantic: a product is only as trustworthy as the raw materials behind it 🌱
something you should know about clean and non-toxic beauty is that botanical ingredients are incredibly complex
the antioxidant level of a plant extract can change depending on soil quality, harvesting season, storage conditions, heat exposure during transport, or even how long the plant waited before extraction 🙌
two ingredients with the same name on a label can perform completely differently on the skin. natural oils oxidize faster; plant actives are more sensitive to light, oxygen, and temperature; unstable extracts lose efficacy long before the product reaches your shelf
this is why formulation is not only about “what” is inside a product, but where it came from, how it was processed, and whether the supplier values consistency and transparency as much as the formulator does
so, throughout these 4 years, one of the most important things Asya did for bba was the constant search for truthful raw materials reliable growers. ethical sourcing. stable extracts. clean oils. suppliers who could prove quality instead of simply claiming it 🌿
remember that in skincare, no formulation can outperform poor ingredients
nature has always been the foundation of bba, but science is what protects its integrity!
