December 2025 was a emotional rollercoaster kind of month as I spent a month back home in Malaysia to spend time with my mom as she goes through chemotherapy for her Stage 4 endometrial cancer but also to celebrate her 70th birthday with all her children and grandchildren. This post is definitely to celebrate her life and her as my role model, being the strongest woman I know in my life as she single handedly raised the 3 of us after my dad passed away in 2002. I am grateful for the wisdom, knowledge and care she has provided us with and also the time we got to spend with her.

She is doing well so far with her chemo treatment and continue to live her best and happiest life so I couldn't ask for anything more as her son. I just wished she told us earlier when she felt unwell but she didn't want to worry us so she waited until she was in too much pain to bear before getting it checked.

Please be aware of your parents health especially as they are aging into their golden years. Remember their annual medical check ups. Ignorance is not bliss as so many diseases can be cured or managed with high survivability if we catch it early enough.

This has given me so much more motivation to continue to spread awareness and understanding of metabolic health so people can proactively take care of their bodies and minds before it's too late.

Hope 2026 will bring us health, happiness and unity amidst all the chaos in the world!
