The Unfadable Khalil

The “Unfadable” Khalil Long is the owner of Universal Cuts and Styles Salon in Arlington, TX and Taste of Universal Gourmet Sandwiches in Downtown Los Angeles. He is a stylist with purpose and on a mission. A Minnesota native, Long relocated to Dallas, TX in the early 90’s to pursue a career in the hair and fashion industry. Khalil was inspired by his older brother, Hakeem, to become a top notch stylist and an innovator who would bring a unique flavor to the DFW Metroplex. Long gained his master styling license after high school and has been invincible ever since. He has won numerous hair competitions for his talent in being both quick and precise. If you missed him in action in previous hair battles, his cuts and designs are on display in several publications. As a trendsetter in the world of hair and fashion, Khalil has sponsored and participated in a variety of productions. For three years, he successfully produced his very own concept, The Evolution of the Mohawk Hair & Fashion Show. Long’s clientele spans from celebrities to public officials such as: doctors, authors/writers, disc jockeys, lawyers, policemen and entrepreneurs. A community leader in his own right, Long takes on the role of mentor to youth and assist cosmetology interns develop their skill set. Whether cutting, styling, mentoring, coordinating fashion shows or running a full service salon and a new gourmet sandwich shop, Long takes on each challenge full force with “unfadable” talents.
