Sometimes we have to make a choice when we go to get our hair done. This clients choice? To go darker or to go shorter 🤔 She really wanted to be blonde 👱♀️ So… we decided to give her a bob and go for a rooted beige blonde ✂️
We used Blacklight Blonde Science by Oligo Pro to achieve this look and sealed the deal with QOAT Hair as the final step ✨
The deets:
1️⃣ Extra Blonde and 20 volume Oligo Professionnel insulated with these cute martini 🍸 foils by Framar 🥲
2️⃣ Toned with Calura Gloss formula 8N base and 10GI mids and ends 👯♀️ We processed for 10 minutes with 7 volume and you can see the tone change in the video 👀
3️⃣ I used Blacklight Blonde Science 🧬 to shampoo and condition the hair. I chose their new HYD for hydration it has hylaronic acid and superfoods 🪄
4️⃣ Lastly I applied QOAT Professional Haircolor Topcoat and let it process for 5 minutes and rinsed and styled! Viola!
She was smiling and said she loves the shorter blonder hair! What do you think? Did she make the right decision?

You guys are always asking me “What’s the stuff that you use on your clients that makes the hair grow and adds density?!” So I’ll tell you! Haha.
I was the first hairstylist in the United States, to get my hands on Calecim Advanced Hair Serum over 2 years ago and it’s truly life changing. I’ve used it on clients with pattern baldness to stress related hair loss. Also postpartum and clients just looking for more density. They have their PTT6 that wakes up sleeping hair follicles literally.
I put a few of my favorites that I still think about sometimes. But honestly the video could be an hour long 😂 You can do this in salon or the clients can do it at home. Some clients we see it in 6 weeks. Some around 10 to 12 weeks. Then they are on maintenance. Ain’t science 🧪 grand?!

It’s been one month since I officially became a founder of my own hair brand 🥲 It took 3 years to create with a team of industry icons.
It’s been 10 years TODAY since I posted my first hair post on Instagram. I put my first 3 posts towards the end of the carousel. A blonde, a haircut, and a cover of Adriana Lima after I gave her a Brazilian Blowout. It took 2 years until I got my first meaningful brand deal.
This year it will be 32 years as a licensed cosmetologist. I assisted for 3 years until I took my own clients.
I started being an educator in 2008 and made $200 per class. It wasn’t until 2010 that I got to be on stage at hair shows and travel the world. Then I became interested in being an executive on the corporate side of the industry. It was 10 years later that I had the opportunity to be a Vice President for a brand.
I don’t think I’ve totally processed that I’m now a founder of my own company. It’s always been a dream of mine, but it had to be the right idea, at the right time, with the right people. And it finally happened.
We tend to make things look so easy and effortless on social media. Two things: It’s not easy. It’s hard and although I have experienced so much joy and have many fond memories… I have made so many mistakes. I’ve also been lied to. Lied about. Stolen from. Taken advantage of and wanted to give up 1000’s of times. But I am grateful for all of it because it shaped me and prepared me for where I stand today.
I wish we taught baby stylists more about all of the opportunities that we have as professional hairstylists. There are so many paths to choose. You can do it all, or choose what feeds your soul. But from being booked and busy to creating your own products or owning a salon. It’s hard work don’t be fooled by what you see here. And don’t ever give up on your dreams. If you stay the course I promise you anything is possible 🙏
