Year 40 was the year I chose me.

Forty, a mom of two, and somehow this has been my biggest glow up yet. Not just on the outside — but in the way I think, move, nourish myself, and show up in the world.

At 40, I decided to prioritize myself. Not in a selfish way (okay… maybe just a little 😉), but in a necessary way.

I took my health and wellness seriously.
I committed to a clean, nourishing diet.
I showed up for weekly Pilates.
I hired a personal trainer.
I cut my alcohol consumption by 90%.
I simplified my skincare — leaning into holistic care and minimal treatments that support my skin instead of fighting it.

But this wasn’t just about looking better.

It was about feeling better. Thinking clearer. Living longer.
It was about having the energy to keep up with my kids.
It was about cultivating patience and presence.
It was about being an example — showing them what it looks like to choose strength, discipline, and self-respect.

I wanted to become my ultimate self — not for vanity, but for vitality.

They say 40 is the new 30.
For me? 40 feels like the new 20… just wiser, calmer, more confident, and deeply aligned.

If this is what 40 looks like, I’m just getting started.

I’m walking away from this conference inspired, grounded, and filled with gratitude. To be surrounded by so many incredible, humble, and driven women was nothing short of magic. The energy, the authenticity, the glow — it was all so real. ✨

I don’t post enough and I’ll probably just start posting backwards, but this 4th of July was one for the books! So eventful yet so relaxing. Watched fireworks from the 8th tee box (Harrison’s first time), golfed next to antelope, visited with old friends, caught our friend’s band , rode around on toys, fell upon beautiful sunsets took two track drives and most importantly we celebrated our freedom… couldn’t have asked for a better 4th of July with my family. 🇺🇸

Today marks one year since God, in His mercy, spared my life. One year since I was struck by an illegal intruder from Venezuela—an event that changed everything in an instant. I shouldn’t be here. But by God’s grace, I am. I was given more time—more days to hold my children, to laugh with my husband, to cherish my mother, and to stand beside the people I love. God kept me here for a reason. He knew my journey with Him had only just begun. He knew my children still needed their mother. He knew I had a voice—and that I would use it.

And today, I will.

This isn’t just about me. It’s about a larger truth too many refuse to face: people should not be in this country illegally.

Because of one illegal’s decision, I live every day with trauma that doesn’t fade. My body is forever altered. My mind carries scars you can’t see. I am burdened with overwhelming financial debt—while the person who did this to me walks away, free from accountability. I endure countless sleepless nights. I relive that moment. I still fight to feel safe.

So I ask—what will it take for you to see the truth?
Does it have to happen to you? To your child? To someone you love?

How many more innocent people have to suffer or die at the hands of those who shouldn’t have been here in the first place?

I survived—but not everyone does. And we can’t keep pretending this isn’t happening.

This country needs to protect its citizens. It’s time we start demanding it.
