the way we choose to style, cut, color our hair heavily impacts the way others see us, and the way we see ourselves

note: this was heavily inspired by the incredibly talented duo behind so many recreations and iterations of iconic silhouettes ⭐️

educating with means I have a strong team of women supporting me as I get vulnerable and share my art, a dream! ☁️

what you didn’t see:
day 1: me in the hotel prepping doll heads for visuals representing the multiple ways I create wet looks and the respective products to match

day 2: the actual class was an intimate and safe space (that I am so proud of) in which the attendees had the opportunity to learn hands on and explore hair in a new way. I enjoyed meeting everyone the class and connecting face to face.

im inspired by the art of manipulation, the tension in shapes, the strength of silhouettes, and the balance present through nature

creating and holding space for art-forward concepts is something I see no end to. I’m grateful to everyone who embraced the unconventional and joined in challenging preconceived notions, then placing larger more expansive ideas in there place at camp

viewing my art as fluid and adaptable has allowed me to evolve my taste, push boundaries, and connect with a community that believes this art deserves to take up space —especially when it challenges comfort zones 👀
