The client doesn’t even remember exactly when the changes first started - it has been around 10 years, possibly even longer⬇️

Years of constant pressure from footwear gradually changed the shape of the nail plates, leading to deformation and separation from the nail bed.

Changes like these don’t happen overnight - they develop over many years. That’s why restoring the nails takes time, patience, proper care, and consistency.

Right now, our focus is on restoring the nail plates and creating the right conditions for healthy nail growth and gradual “reattachment” to the nail bed.

The client comes in for follow-up appointments every 6 weeks. At each visit, we evaluate the progress of the nail growth, perform the necessary nail care, and adjust the care plan based on how the nails are progressing.

Step by step, we’re working to reverse the effects of years of pressure on the nails. This is a process - it’s not about the result of a single appointment, but about consistent care and regular monitoring throughout the entire nail growth journey.

A few months ago, a client came to me with a suspected fungal nail infection⬇️

She had been dealing with this issue for most of her life and had always believed that fungus was the reason for the changes in her nails. She had even completed several prescribed courses of medication over the years.

After carefully reviewing her history, photos of her nails from different periods, and her test results, it became clear that a fungal infection had never been confirmed.

The actual cause was completely different: years of pressure from footwear had caused deformation of the nail plates and onycholysis - the gradual separation of the nail plate from the nail bed.

Our focus now is not on “treating fungus,” but on restoring the nail plates and creating the right conditions for proper nail growth and gradual “reattachment” to the nail bed. We’re working on all of the affected nails, step by step, to improve changes that developed over many years.

This is why it’s so important to understand what is actually causing nail changes before deciding on the proper care.
