Competition? Nah. I’m focused on elevation.
I know I’m good at what I do. And I say that confidently, not arrogantly. But here’s the thing, I’m still learning.
I truly believe we can learn from each other, share knowledge, exchange techniques, and celebrate what makes each of us unique. Just because another therapist does something differently than I do doesn’t mean one of us is wrong. It means there’s always an opportunity to

But I’m good at what I do because I’m intentional about my craft. I continue to learn, grow, practice, ask questions, take classes, and stay open to being taught. I don’t ever want to get to a place where I think I know everything.

Another therapist’s gift doesn’t take away from mine.

Your success doesn’t diminish mine.

Your technique doesn’t threaten mine.

There’s enough room at the table for all of us.

I’ll continue to pour into my craft, pour into my clients, and remain humble enough to learn from the amazing therapists around me. We don’t have to compete when we can collaborate, learn, grow, and elevate together.

I'm sure some Massage Therapist will feel some type of way but it has to be said. If you are going to get a massage make sure you check that the sheets are not stacked. Some Massage Therapist don't change their sheets after clients they just stack them on top of each which is unsanitary. The reason they do this is probably because they take on too many clients and don't give themselves enough time to sanitize and flip the room.

TIP OF THE DAY 18: Make Your Massage Work Harder for You

Your massage doesn’t have to end when you leave the table.

Continue taking care of your body afterward.

Drink water. Give yourself time to relax. Avoid immediately jumping into a stressful task if possible. Pay attention to how your body feels.

Your massage is part of your wellness routine, but what you do between appointments matters too.

TIP OF THE DAY #17: Breathe

When was the last time you took a deep breath and actually allowed yourself to relax?

Try this today:

Inhale slowly through your nose.
Hold for a few seconds.
Exhale slowly through your mouth.

Repeat several times.

Sometimes self-care doesn’t require money, an appointment, or an entire afternoon.

Sometimes you just need to pause and breathe.

When was the last time you poured into YOU?

Not your kids.
Not your family.
Not your job.
Not everybody who needs something from you.

YOU.

You deserve a moment where nobody needs anything from you. A moment to breathe, relax, release the tension, and simply be taken care of.

This August, give yourself permission to Pour Into You.

At Mocha Massage and Bodywork, it’s more than just a massage. It’s an experience designed to help you relax, reset, and refocus

Tip of the Day #16: Your Feet Work Hard Too

Your feet carry you everywhere you go, yet they’re often the most neglected part of the body.

Give them some attention.

Soak them, stretch them, moisturize them, wear supportive shoes, and give them some extra care when you can.

And yes, your feet deserve a massage too.

Tip of the Day #15 Schedule Your Self-Care Before You Need It

Here’s your reminder to stop saying, “I’ll do it when I have time.”

Life will always be busy.

Put yourself on the calendar. Schedule your massage. Plan your rest. Make time for movement. Protect your peace.

Self care works best when it’s consistent, not occasional.

Don’t wait for burnout to remind you that you matter.

Tip of the Day #14: Learn the Difference Between Rest and Avoidance

Resting is taking a moment to recharge so you can keep going.

Avoidance is constantly ignoring what your body needs.

If you’re tired, rest.
If you’re tense, address it.
If you’re stressed, create space to decompress.

Taking care of yourself doesn’t make you weak.

It makes you aware.
