In true Leo fashion, we had to make a grand entrance.
On Thursday July 23rd, Zach and I were admitted to OB triage. After some close monitoring, it was decided that it was safest for baby to come that day. Around 7PM they started me on pitocin to induce labor, and at 12:34AM on Friday July 24th we welcomed our sweet Miss Maëlee Rae into this world 🦌👑🦌
Despite her stature, she is quite strong and continues to impress the hell out of her doctors as well as mommy and daddy. You are already so so loved sweet angel - we can't wait to keep getting to know you 💜💚💜💚💜

Favorite Electric Forest momemts:

• celebrating our 3 year engagement anniversary during the GRiZ set Friday night ❤️‍🔥

• towards the end of the GRiZ set Friday night I was resting on our moon mats - the first note of Ecstacy of Soul came on and before Zach could even lean down to tell me to get up, I had already jumped up so fast I almost knocked him in the face. I truthfully don't think anyone has ever seen a pregnant lady move so fast 😅

• getting to witness Zach in a 2 minute embrace with an absolute stranger

• experiencing my first ever Chakra release during the LSDREAM lightcode set

• sitting in the field at the Ranch Arena to turn around and find our friend Corey we met the year before sitting right behind us

• running into one of my clients on day 1 for their first Forest

• feeling so loved and well taken care of by the homies this year in particular 😭

• the last set of the last night getting gifted and absolutely gorgeous piece of celestite along with a beautiful story of a Forest couple who has never missed a Forest until this year due to just giving birth - they sent their friend with a special gift for the perfect expecting couple and we were chosen 🥰🥰🥰 I truly hope this couple knows how much this gift means to our family!

Zach and I are home safe from Electric Forest and baby Maëlee is doing great.
In light of events that took place at the festival, I will be taking some time away from social media while we process. If anyone needs anything salon related, please reach out to me directly on my phone or expect a delayed response.
At this time I encourage everyone to remenber two things:
1) practice what we preach every. damn. day. PEACE. LOVE. UNITY. RESPECT. I understand these times are trying - let's not lose our humanity on either side.
2) two things can both be true at the same time. What happened was an absolute tragedy and 100% could have been handled better AND a lot of beautiful, amazing, incredible, magical, healing things took place this weekend. People are allowed to feel both. People are allowed to acknowledge both. Both can be true and we can allow others to feel and process both sides of the festival.
