There is nothing I love more than helping someone finally figure out why they’re struggling with their scalp and hair instead of just guessing what products to buy.

A client who recently moved to the area made a post in a local Facebook group asking for product recommendations. I commented and suggested she come in for a scalp analysis so we could determine what her scalp and hair actually needed.

During her scalp analysis, we found:

✨ Damage from previous bleaching

Based on what I saw, I recommended Surface Hair Purify Clarifying Shampoo once a week for the first month to remove hard water minerals, excess oil, product buildup, and other impurities. After that, I advised tapering to every other week, then eventually once a month for maintenance.

Just like you moisturize your face and use lotion on your body, your scalp needs moisture too—especially after shampooing. Healthy hair starts with a healthy scalp.

I also showed her how to properly double shampoo, which helps remove buildup during the first cleanse so the second shampoo can actually clean and treat the scalp.

The best part? She messaged me this morning after just 𝐨𝐧𝐞 wash and said her hair and scalp already feel so much better! 💚
