AMS: Transforming how schools are built. High performance, innovative, & affordable modern schools &

AMS has changed a lot in 43 years. One thing that hasn’t changed is the family behind it.
Dan, Tony and David Sarich are still actively involved in the projects we deliver and the decisions that shape our company.
That experience matters. After thousands of projects across California, we’ve seen just how different every school project can be, and we bring those lessons with us to the next one.
We’ve grown our team, our capabilities and our capacity, but we’ve never lost sight of who we serve or what we’re building for.
43 years later, we’re still here. Still family-owned. Still building for California schools.

The best engineering doesn’t stop when a building is complete.
Last week, our Northern California Engineering and Sales teams, led by Director of Engineering Scott Wade, visited two recently completed two-story campuses: Branciforte Middle School and Capri Elementary.
Getting back into completed buildings gives our team a chance to look beyond the drawings. From structural details and architectural finishes to project-specific design solutions, every visit offers insights that help shape future schools.
Our modular building systems are designed to be repeatable and scalable, but every campus is built around the needs of the district, the site, and the students it serves. No two projects are exactly alike.
That’s why we make time for visits like these. Every completed campus helps us learn, refine, and deliver even better schools for the next community.
Engineered to Empower.

A construction manager, an architect, and a school district walk into a modular factory…
Each came with a different reason to take a closer look at AMS. One was exploring options for future projects. Another wanted to better understand our process. And one had a building taking shape on the production line.
They traveled from Southern California to Manteca to tour the AMS factory, meet our team, and see firsthand how AMS buildings come together.
Watch the video for a look at the day and why the experience was well worth the trip.

Every successful school project starts long before construction begins.
As our projects have grown in size and complexity, we’ve expanded our engineering department by approximately 4,000 square feet, giving our team more room to collaborate, solve challenges, and stay closely connected to manufacturing throughout every project.
For our clients, that means faster communication, better coordination, and greater confidence that what’s engineered is exactly what’s manufactured.
When engineering and manufacturing work side by side, questions are resolved quickly, design intent stays intact, and projects keep moving.
Take a behind-the-scenes look inside AMS and meet the people behind the process that helps deliver high-quality learning environments for schools across California.

👀 A first look at Aviara Oaks Elementary School.
As part of a larger campus modernization, AMS delivered two AMS FORM buildings totaling 9,600 square feet. Designed to complement the existing campus, the buildings incorporate architectural finishes and materials that blend seamlessly with their surroundings.
Stay tuned for the full project profile soon!
Thanks to Carlsbad Unified School District, Ruhnau Clarke Architects, Lusardi Construction Company, and everyone who helped bring this project to life.

Today we’re recognizing Marcus Raposas, Chief Controller, on his 14-year anniversary with American Modular Systems.
For the past 14 years, Marcus has been a go-to resource for teams across AMS. Whether it’s answering a financial question, helping solve a challenge, or providing insight when it’s needed most, Marcus is always willing to jump in and help. His knowledge, steady approach, and commitment to the company have earned the respect of colleagues throughout the organization.
Thank you, Marcus, for everything you’ve contributed over the years. We’re grateful to have you on the team and look forward to what’s ahead.

Always a good day when project teams get to see their building in production.
This week, we welcomed representatives from .academy Education for Change Public Schools, Blueprint Futures, and the project team to our Manteca factory for a firsthand look at their project and the modular construction process.
Thank you for making the trip. We appreciate the opportunity to share the progress and look forward to seeing this one come together.

A new chapter for early learning in Los Banos...
recently celebrated the opening of its new Early Education Center, a 34,080-square-foot campus built with the AMS FORM building system.
Designed to bring preschool and transitional kindergarten students together in one dedicated location, the new campus provides 19 classrooms tailored to the needs of early learners. The result is a welcoming environment where students can begin their educational journey in a space created specifically for them.
Congratulations to Los Banos Unified School District, SKW & Associates, and the entire project team on this exciting milestone!

Happy Friday‼️
A fun afternoon in the factory yesterday, celebrating the team behind our buildings.
Great food, prizes, and even a little friendly soccer competition ⚽ with the people who bring so much craftsmanship, care, and dedication to the work happening at AMS every day.
We also had the opportunity to recognize some incredible employee milestones:
30 years
25 years
20 years
Two 15-year anniversaries
And a 10-year anniversary
That kind of longevity says a lot about the people and culture behind AMS. We’re grateful for the team that continues to show up, build with pride, and make it all happen.

Specialty spaces topped your list of design trends — so we’re digging in, starting with Expanded Learning.
ELOP is changing how K-12 campuses get used: before school, after school, into summer. At Pleasant View Expanded Learning Center, we designed for that reality — flexible, durable, and built to flex between daily enrichment and summer camps without missing a beat.
When you design around how students actually use a space, it performs differently.
Engineered to Empower.
