✨ 40, Growing, and Learning to Slow Down ❤️

If you know me, you know I’ve never been one to sit still. 🤣

I’m a dreamer, a go-getter, and someone who gets an idea in her head and immediately starts figuring out how to make it happen.

I love learning. I love growing. I love challenging myself. And sometimes… I forget that I don’t have to do ALL the things. 😂

Turning 40 has really had me reflecting on what I want this next chapter of my life to look like.

One thing I’m realizing is that just because I CAN do something doesn’t mean I HAVE to. 😬😬😬

Over the last several months, I’ve taken on a lot. New certifications, new services, new opportunities, and about a hundred ideas for what I could do next.🤦🏻‍♀️

But somewhere in all that excitement, I started asking myself… Am I creating the life I actually want to live, or am I just finding more things to keep myself busy?

And that question really stuck with me.

So, I’ve made a few decisions.

❤️ I’ll be stepping away from offering facials. I will absolutely honor the appointments I already have scheduled, but I won’t be taking any new facial clients.

❤️ I’ve also decided not to move forward with my microblading training.

❤️ I’ll be putting my focus back into two things I genuinely love — doing hair and spray tanning!

And I’ll absolutely continue my consulting and coaching business because helping new stylists build confidence, develop their soft skills, and grow into successful professionals is something I’m incredibly passionate about.

But beyond business, I want more out of life, too.

I want more time with my family. More adventures. More traveling. More meaningful relationships. More memories. More moments where I’m actually present instead of thinking about the next thing on my to-do list.

I’ve worked really hard to build a life and career that I love, and I don’t want to become so busy building it that I forget to enjoy it.

I’m learning that saying no to something doesn’t mean I’m giving up. (Hard one) Sometimes it means I’m finally getting clear on what matters most.

To all of my amazing clients who have supported me, encouraged me, and cheered me on through every new idea and adventure, thank you from the bottom of my heart. You truly mean so much to me. ❤️❤️❤️

I’m still the same ambitious, slightly overcommitted woman you’ve always known. 🤣❤️

I’m just learning that maybe I don’t need to fill every available space on my calendar.

Here’s to 40, choosing quality over quantity, finding balance, and remembering that a full life doesn’t have to mean a full schedule. ✨
