ANNOUNCEMENT 📣
Unfortunately ALL July appointments have been cancelled. Will get you rescheduled for August!
One thing about being a loctician… clients will TRY IT 😭😂
The messages really be:
✨ “Can you squeeze me in tomorrow?”
✨ “Can I send the deposit later?”
✨ “I’m only 20 minutes away 😭”
✨ “Can you still do the style even though I’m late?”
✨ “Can you just add me before your next client?”
—and honestly, I know life happens. I truly do 😂
But one thing people don’t always realize is policies are what keep service businesses functioning smoothly.
Appointments aren’t just “time slots.” They involve:
🌱 scheduling
🌱 preparation
🌱 timing
🌱 product usage
🌱 energy
🌱 respecting every client’s appointment time equally
And especially with loc services — one delayed appointment can throw off an entire day.
That’s why boundaries and policies matter so much in this industry. Not to be difficult… but to create a professional, consistent experience for everybody.
And honestly? The clients who respect policies usually end up having the smoothest experiences long term anyway 😭✨
One thing about me — I love my clients DOWN… but the policies still apply 😂
If you’re in Augusta and looking for a loctician who values professionalism, healthy loc care, and intentional client experiences, I’d love to work with you.

One thing about being self-employed… you eventually realize protecting your peace is part of protecting your business too 😭✨
And honestly? I’m never arguing with grown adults over:
✨ policies
✨ deposits
✨ late fees
✨ appointment times
✨ boundaries
✨ respect
because those things are already communicated for a reason.
A lot of people forget that being a loctician is still running a BUSINESS — not just “doing hair.”
Policies exist to:
🌱 protect scheduling
🌱 respect everyone’s appointment time
🌱 maintain professionalism
🌱 prevent burnout
🌱 create structure for both the client and stylist
And truthfully? The best client relationships usually happen when there’s mutual respect on both sides.
One thing I’ve learned as a business owner is:
✨ everybody is not your client
✨ boundaries are healthy
✨ protecting your energy matters
✨ professionalism goes both ways
And honestly, once you stop being afraid to enforce boundaries, business becomes WAY more peaceful 😭✨
I love my clients DOWN… but I also love sanity 😂
If you’re in Augusta and looking for a loctician who values professionalism, healthy loc care, and a respectful client experience, I’d love to work with you.

One thing about starter locs?
They are going to humble you before they reward you 😭
A lot of people start their loc journey expecting instant perfection — but the early stages of locs are literally your hair learning how to lock and mature.
That means:
✨ frizz
✨ budding
✨ shrinkage
✨ puffiness
✨ unraveling in some areas
…can all be completely normal depending on your texture and maintenance method.
And honestly? The awkward phase is where a lot of people quit too early because they think something is wrong.
But this is exactly why education matters.
Your starter locs are not meant to look like mature locs immediately. Locs take time to form structure, tighten, and settle into themselves. The people with the beautiful mature locs you admire now? They ALL had a starter phase too.
Patience is a huge part of this journey.
The goal isn’t perfection overnight. The goal is healthy progress over time.
If you’re in Augusta and looking for guidance through your loc journey from someone who values education just as much as the final result, I’d love to help you through the process.
