How the RS Method™ Supports Post-Operative Recovery

The RS Method™ combines advanced lymphatic drainage, Vodder-based techniques, myofascial lymphatic work, and customized recovery protocols to support the body's natural healing process after liposuction, tummy tuck, and other cosmetic procedures.

The RS Method™ is designed to help:

Support healthy lymphatic flow and fluid movement
Reduce temporary swelling and fluid retention
Promote circulation to healing tissues
Improve tissue mobility and flexibility
Support healthy scar tissue remodeling
Help soften areas of firmness associated with the healing process
Improve comfort and range of motion during recovery
Support smoother-looking contours as post-surgical swelling subsides
Addressing Lumps and Fibrosis

During recovery, inflammation, fluid accumulation, and collagen remodeling can contribute to firmness, uneven texture, and areas of tissue restriction. The RS Method™ utilizes gentle lymphatic and myofascial techniques to:

Encourage movement of excess fluid through the lymphatic system
Help mobilize areas of tissue restriction
Support healthy tissue glide and mobility
Promote balanced healing of soft tissues
Complement your surgeon's post-operative recovery recommendations
When Combined With Advanced Recovery Technologies

Depending on the client's stage of healing and physician clearance, the RS Method™ may incorporate:

Celluma® LED Light Therapy
Therapeutic Ultrasound
Microcurrent Therapy
Vacuum-Assisted Lymphatic Techniques
Compression Therapy

These modalities are used to support circulation, tissue mobility, scar appearance, and overall recovery.

After liposuction or a tummy tuck, lumps, firmness, uneven texture, and fibrosis are relatively common during the healing process.

Why It Happens
1. Normal Inflammation and Swelling

Surgery causes tissue trauma. The body's healing response increases fluid, inflammation, and swelling, which can create temporary hard or uneven areas.

2. Scar Tissue Formation (Fibrosis)

As tissues heal, the body produces collagen to repair the surgical area. Sometimes collagen is deposited unevenly, leading to:

Firm or hard areas
Rope-like bands
Nodules or lumps
Areas that feel "stuck" or less mobile

Fibrosis is most common between 2–12 weeks after surgery but can continue to remodel for several months.

3. Fluid Accumulation

After liposuction, lymphatic vessels are disrupted temporarily. This can contribute to:

Localized swelling
Fluid pockets
Firm, swollen areas that may feel like lumps
4. Blood Products and Tissue Healing

Small collections of blood or inflammatory fluid can sometimes become trapped within healing tissues, contributing to firmness and irregular texture.

5. Compression Garment Issues

Garments that are too loose, too tight, folded, or worn inconsistently may contribute to uneven pressure during healing, potentially affecting tissue remodeling.

6. Individual Healing Response

Factors that may influence fibrosis include:

Extent of surgery
Revision procedures
Large-volume liposuction
Genetics
Smoking
Diabetes
Inconsistent compression
Post-operative complications
