🖤❤️MEMPHIS URBAN FASHION WEEK 🖤❤️

Before this opportunity came about I was in prayer about my life, career, opportunities, & just how to use my passion & gift in more ways than just behind the chair. I was strolling on Instagram and saw a post calling 50 hair stylists around the city and I immediately clicked on it & applied‼️

The call was for stylist but they determined based off resume/ experience what role you would play. I prayed for lead stylist & that’s exactly what God did. Although I had never done a fashion show before I was other experiences in the industry with working under pressure so I applied with what I had, faith, confidence & manifestation that it was already mine👏🏽

There were many changes & adjustments throughout this process with dates changes, stylists/models having to drop out, location changes & more but I was DETERMINED to still put my best foot forward and do it anyway! Rather than looking at it as volunteer work w/ no pay ..I was excited to get around other bosses, people in places I’m working towards,ways to grow, and another experience to take with me for all my current/ future aspirations ❤️
By the time it was time to do the show we were down to 7 stylist of out 40 and all these models to style but GOD. Instead of being a lead stylist I became apart of yet another team and we worked SO WELL together. First Memphis hairstylist team for a fashion show & we did that. Everything worked out perfect despite losing power after 1hour in we made that thang work 🤏🏾💅🏽
Forever grateful for the leadership & push through from .small and all the other beautiful, talented stylist I got to meet/ work with ❤️
