How do I get the most out of your curls?

Start with clean, detoxed hair. If you hair is holding on to hard water deposits or product residue, you will not be able to get moisture into you hair and lock it in.

We will start your first curly cut appointment with a detox mask treatment with steam to open up the cuticle and release any build up of hard water or products.

This is an important start to your curly journey. Going forward I will recommend that you use only water soluble products so that you don't continue to fight build up.

Once your curls can accept the moisture and keep it in, your curls will be the best ever!

Often times, I have a new guest come in who already has tried the "curly" techniques and is having great success with them.

When this lovely new guest arrived for her appointment, her hair looked great!

I was able to show her some "tweaks" to her routine with different products and ways to use them to "set" the curls for maximum longevity.

We also tamed the frizz a little bit! If you notice, when the curls are hydrated they look so much richer. We didn't do any color in the salon yet her hair looks rich and healthy!

It is the combination of the right cut, the right products and the right techniques for your lifestyle.

If you love your products and they are working well for you, it might benefit you to learn a different way to use them. People are not sure when to use a cream vs a gel or a mousse. If they have silicones or copolymers, I will recommend that you ditch them.

Do you love a good "Before and After" collage as much as I do?

With this guest, we went shorter with her layers while maintaining length. We did remove some of the older ends to keep it healthy but kept it long.

We didn't do any color on this day, her hair looks much richer with the added hydration.
