“Wooowwww. The eyebrows of my dreams!” 🥹

That’s a message I received from someone after sharing these brows on my story.

The funny part? One of the reasons I shared them only on my story was because they didn’t feel “perfect” enough for me to post on my feed.

When I look back through years of my work, there is SO much I never shared for the same reason. Not because my clients weren’t happy - quite the opposite. They’re usually thrilled. But somehow, I can look at the same result they’re ecstatic about and immediately find something I could have done better.

I hold myself to an incredibly high standard, and social media can make that even harder.

We’re surrounded by “perfect” results online, but photos can be filtered or edited, redness removed, makeup added for crisp lines, and imperfections erased. It’s easy to start believing that is what real, untouched work should look like.

But that’s never been my style.

I want you to see real skin. Real brows. Real results.

I tell my clients all the time, “If only you could see yourself the way I see you.”

Maybe sometimes I need to take my own advice.

Because while I was looking at these brows and seeing every tiny detail I could have done differently, someone else looked at them and said:

These are my dream brows!

So here they are - a fresh brow lamination, wax + tint.

No editing. No filters. No redness removed. No makeup added. No perfect lighting or angles.

Just real skin, real brows, and real results. ✨

Those words mean more than you probably realize.

And maybe that’s another lesson in all of this:

If you’re thinking something kind about someone, say it.

You never know when someone you think must already know might need the reminder to see themselves, or something they’ve created, a little more like you do.

A new chapter begins… 🤍

In January of 2019, on the drive to Salt Lake City for my microblading training, I wasn’t self-employed yet, but I already knew that was the goal.

Feeling inspired by everything I was learning and excited about where it could take me, I opened the Notes app on my phone and started writing down business names.

The moment I typed Natural Beauty & Brows, I knew.

That was it.

A month later, before I had even opened my business, I created my very first logo.

Looking back now, it’s surreal to think that 25-year-old me had no idea that one little note in my phone would become the foundation of everything I’ve built over the last seven years.

That one decision changed my life. Creating Natural Beauty & Brows has been one of the best decisions I’ve ever made.

Since opening Natural Beauty & Brows, I’ve had the privilege of building relationships with hundreds of incredible clients, celebrating milestones I never imagined, growing as a person, an esthetician, and a business owner, and creating a business that I’m incredibly proud of.

Over the past few years, I’ve felt a pull to refresh the look and feel of my brand, not because the old one wasn’t right, but because both my business and I have continued to grow.

When I finally sat down to bring this rebrand to life, it just felt like the right time.

This new look is a celebration of where Natural Beauty & Brows began and everything it has grown into over the last seven years.

Have you noticed your skin feeling more irritated lately?

If you live in the Treasure Valley, there’s a good chance the wildfire smoke is playing a role.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been noticing more clients coming in with skin that’s suddenly feeling more sensitive, drier than usual, red, irritated, or breaking out “seemingly out of nowhere.” Honestly, my own skin has been feeling it too.

As an esthetician, I love understanding the why behind what’s happening to our skin. There’s real science explaining why wildfire smoke can contribute to oxidative stress, inflammation, and a weakened skin barrier, which is exactly why I wanted to put this post together.

One thing I didn’t have room to include in the carousel is that this is a great time to simplify your routine. If your skin feels reactive, resist the urge to use stronger exfoliants or add more active ingredients. More often than not, your skin is asking for support, not more stimulation.

I’m also a big believer that healthy skin isn’t just about what we put on our skin - it’s also about how we support our bodies. With my background in nutrition, I’ve been focusing on staying hydrated, eating antioxidant-rich foods, and keeping my HEPA air purifier running around the clock.

When your skin barrier is impaired, less is more. Sometimes the smallest changes can make the biggest difference.

It’s been months in the making, filled with late nights, big ideas and a whole lot of excitement

Every little detail has been created with intention, and I’m finally getting close to sharing it

I truly can’t wait to share what’s coming 🫶🏼

And just like that... my first esthetics class has graduated 🥹🫶🏼

Over the last seven and a half months, I’ve had the privilege of watching 14 amazing women grow - not only in their skills, but in their confidence, professionalism, resilience, and belief in themselves.

When I accepted this teaching position, I expected to teach esthetics. What I didn’t expect was that somewhere along the way, I’d somehow adopt 14 children... not in age, of course, but in the way that you genuinely care about them, cheer them on, want to protect them, and celebrate every milestone right alongside them, just as you would your own.

Saying goodbye to this chapter with them pulled on my heartstrings more than I expected.

These students reminded me why I fell in love with this industry in the first place. They asked thoughtful questions, embraced every challenge, celebrated each other’s successes, and inspired me in ways I never anticipated.

This experience also reminded me just how much I love education. Watching their confidence grow reignited something in me and inspired me to dream a little bigger about the impact I want to have on this industry moving forward.

I truly couldn’t have asked for a better first class. I feel incredibly lucky that each of you was part of the beginning of this chapter, and I’ll always be grateful that you’re the students who helped shape me into the instructor I am today and the mentor I hope to continue becoming

To my very first class... thank you. Thank you for trusting me, making me laugh, keeping me on my toes, and allowing me to be a small part of your journey. I couldn’t be more proud of each of you, and I truly can’t wait to see where your careers take you.

Like so many people, my acne journey started in my teens.
