"Wait... you're not Orthodox?"

I hear that all the time.

The surprise usually gets even bigger when I explain that I'm not Reform or Conservative either.

The truth is, many of us don't fit neatly into a denomination. Sometimes the answer is simply, "I'm just Jewish."

I'll never forget visiting a Reform synagogue for the first time. One of the first things someone kindly said to me was, "You know you don't have to cover your hair here."

I remember thinking, I know... but I want to.

Because mitzvot aren't owned by a movement. They aren't reserved for one branch of Judaism. They are deeply personal expressions of our relationship with Hashem.

Choosing to wear a tichel has been one of the most meaningful decisions I've ever made. Every morning it reminds me to live with intention, humility, and purpose. It has become far more than a piece of fabric—it has become part of who I am.

That belief is woven into every piece I create.

I didn't start Sorrell Hair Wraps just to sell beautiful tichels. I started it to create pieces worthy of the meaning they carry.

Every wrap is handcrafted in Arizona from carefully chosen fabrics and released in intentionally limited collections. When a fabric is gone, it's gone for good. No endless restocks. No mass production. Just thoughtfully made pieces designed to be worn, cherished, and collected.

If you're just beginning your hair-covering journey, I hope I can help make it a little easier. And if you've been wrapping for years, I hope you discover a piece that feels like it was waiting just for you.

Because the right tichel isn't just something you wear.

It's something you connect with. ✨

Every order from Sorrell Hair Wraps means more than supporting a small business.

As a Jewish-owned business, each purchase helps me fulfill the mitzvah of giving beautiful fabrics a second life, creating items that honor modesty, sustainability, and self-expression.

My wraps are made in limited quantities, and I offer satin scrunchies, decorative pins, and Layelle shapers to complete your look.

When a fabric is gone, it's usually gone for good. If you've been eyeing a favorite piece, now is the best time to make it yours while it's still available.

Some people feel that certain rituals or practices are only for the orthodox community.

That couldn't be further from the truth.

I dont affiliate with any branch, and there is nothing preventing me from bringing more Jewish into my life.

The more I create a habit of prayer, handwashing, or being in gratitude, the better I feel.

How do you start off your morning?

BIG shout out to Joe Buchanan for making the best Jewish music ever👏👏👏
