Few places in the world bring you face to face with so much history in a single journey. Stand before the Pyramids and the Sphinx, enter the tombs of the Valley of the Kings, see the treasures of Tutankhamun, and watch life along the Nile unfold from the deck of a riverboat. These are experiences that simply can’t happen anywhere else.

And then there are the moments in between: sailing by felucca, sharing meals together, listening as our Egyptologists bring thousands of years of stories to life, and ending another remarkable day along the Nile. It’s this combination of wonder, discovery, and shared experience that brings us back.

We’re still smiling when we look back at our 25th anniversary celebration in Provincetown.

Sharing the afternoon with so many familiar faces, meeting new travelers, and celebrating a milestone with the Source community made it an occasion we’ll remember for years to come.

There are few better ways to watch the world unfold than from the deck of a ship.

Over the years, the Source Journeys family has sailed everywhere from Antarctica to northern Norway, explored storybook towns throughout Europe, and crossed the turquoise waters of French Polynesia. Every voyage offers something different, but they all have one thing in common: the chance to unpack once, settle into the rhythm of the sea, and wake up somewhere new each morning.

What’s one destination you’ve always wanted to experience from the water?

No two days in Morocco look quite the same.

One morning you’re wandering the winding streets of Fes. A few days later, you’re crossing the Sahara by camel before settling into a luxury desert camp beneath the stars. In between are the Atlas Mountains, lively markets, long lunches, conversations with local artisans, and the remarkable architecture and hospitality that bring each place to life.

It’s this constant sense of discovery that brings us back to Morocco year after year. The landscapes change, the pace shifts, and each part of the journey reveals a completely different side of the country.

Another Source Story, as we continue celebrating 25 years of Source Journeys.

While exploring the ancient city walls of Dubrovnik, Chuck struck up a conversation with another traveler overlooking the harbor below. When the man asked where they were staying, Chuck pointed toward the Royal Clipper, its five towering masts rising above the Adriatic.
The stranger smiled and admitted he was jealous. “You might want to step back from the edge,” he joked. “My envy might just knock you off.”

It was one of those perfect travel moments that stays with you. Two strangers on an ancient wall. A shared view. A little humor. A ship so beautiful it inspired envy from across the harbor.

Years later, that’s still the memory Chuck carries with him. Not just the remarkable ship or the beauty of Dubrovnik, but the unexpected conversation that turned a spectacular view into a story worth telling.
