🗣️As many of you know locs can vary in appearance. This is due to many factors, I have listed five below:

•First is the professional you choose to style your hair. Consistency yields the best results. Make sure you choose a professional who is licensed! I have mastered/specialize in scalp care & locs!
•Second is the method in which you choose to Start & Maintain your locs! There are two methods I would recommend: Locksmithing/coil twist method & crochet/instant loc method. Some individuals utilize one or both methods consecutively. Depending on goals and preference. Also, keep in mind your hair density & desired quantity or thickness. Interlocking is another known method I would not recommend, nor would I offer.
•Third factor would be how often an individual is getting there locs maintained? I would recommend monthly/bimonthly maximum for locksmith/coil twist method. Bimonthly/every three months for crochet/instant loc method.
•Fourth factor would depend on how long an individual is keeping their locs styled. I do not recommend more than two weeks! Also, please wash within a week after removing style! Dry well & moisturize with a light oil. Allow your locs to be free from compression so they can bunch up and thicken/strengthen. It is truly a myth that locs cannot washed!
•Fifth factor would be which products are you putting in your locs? No Gel, No Beeswax, No moose or heavy oils…all this will do is temporarily set your locs, then dry your scalp & hair. It causes dandruff & attracts buildup like lint, dust, dead skin cells, ex. No thread, No synthetic hair, No tension, and Minimize Chemical treatments to keep hair’s integrity!
