Using adapalene but not sure where moisturizer fits into your routine? đź‘€

For most people, I recommend adapalene first, then moisturizer. But if your skin is getting dry or irritated, applying moisturizer first or using the sandwich method can make adapalene easier to tolerate.

I broke down each method, how to layer your products, and some of my favorite moisturizers to pair with adapalene in my latest guide.

Adapalene or retinol? đź‘€

They’re both retinoids, but the better choice depends on what you’re trying to improve. Adapalene is mainly used for acne and clogged pores, while retinol is more commonly used for fine lines, dark spots, and other signs of aging.

I broke down the differences, how they work, and how to choose the right one for your skin in my full guide.

Skincare isn’t only about what you put on your face. What you put into your body matters too.

Your body care routine deserves the same attention as your facial skincare. One ingredient I think deserves way more credit? Glycerin.

Last Saturday, I shared an article breaking down why glycerin is so good for hydration and my experience with Dove Serum+ Radiance Oil Body Wash, made with a 50% glycerin serum. It’s become an easy first step in my routine for soft, hydrated, healthy-looking skin.

There are moments that quietly change the way you see yourself.

This week's article is about one of mine.

What I thought was getting ready for a concert became a reminder that taking care of yourself isn't vanity. It's one of the ways you find your way back after life feels heavy.

From an everything shower to slowing down with my skincare routine, this piece is about rediscovering joy in the ordinary and why those small rituals can mean more than we realize.

If you've ever needed a reminder to say yes to yourself again, I hope you'll enjoy this one.

Can you use tretinoin and azelaic acid together?

Yes, but how you introduce them matters.

Both ingredients are backed by research and can help improve acne, post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation, uneven skin tone, skin texture, and even signs of aging. The challenge is that they can also cause dryness and irritation if you start too aggressively.

In this guide, I explain how tretinoin and azelaic acid work, why they're often paired together, how to minimize irritation, and the routine I recommend for getting the best results.
