Vitamin C works the day shift. ☀️
Morning is when skin meets the world: sunlight, screens, city air. Daytime is when oxidative stress happens, so daytime is when antioxidants earn their keep.
Nihon brings the classic trio: sodium ascorbyl phosphate (stabilized vitamin C), vitamin E, and ferulic acid to help both hold up. Stable by design, so it does not need to sting on arrival.
Then sunscreen closes the door. The two work as a pair; one never replaces the other.
Three drops, before the day starts.

Five things sensitive skin is tired of hearing.
"If it stings, it's working." Stinging is a complaint, not a progress report.
"It just needs to toughen up." Skin is not a character test; a reactive barrier needs repair, not exposure therapy.
"More actives, faster results." Stacking actives mostly stacks irritation.
"Natural always means gentle." Formulation is what matters, not folklore.
"Sensitive skin can't use actives." It can. Delivered with manners.
Calm first, correct second. The whole philosophy in four words. 🤍
The night shift. 🌙
While everything else rests, copper tripeptide-1 signals renewal instead of forcing it. No stinging as proof of effort, no week of peeling to earn the result.
In a 30-day perception study, 94% agreed Izumi felt gentle on their skin and 100% agreed it layered well with the rest of their routine.
Lid on, lamp off. The serum takes it from here.

Four textures. Four names. Can you match them? 👀
A, B, C and D are four IKI textures, photographed close enough to give themselves away. One is a cleansing foam, one is a stabilized vitamin C serum, one is a brightening gel, one is a gel-emulsion moisturizer.
Kirei, Nihon, Kido, Iro. Drop your guesses in the comments, in order.
Answers tomorrow in stories. No prizes, just bragging rights.

She built the brand her skin needed.
Dr. María José Urbani is a physician specialized in skin, with a focus on sensitive and reactive skin. For years she watched the same story in consultation: routines getting stronger, skin getting angrier.
So she looked east. Japanese skincare philosophy starts from the opposite end: repair the barrier first, respect the skin's pace, remove everything that shouts. Fragrance out. Alcohol out. Sulfates out.
Six formulas later, that philosophy has a name. Calm first, correct second.
Sensitive skin, finally heard. 🤍

The patient one.
Kido brightens with kojic acid dipalmitate and alpha-arbutin, two ingredients that work on the look of dark spots without picking a fight with the skin around them. No hydroquinone, no peeling week, no drama.
Brightening is a long game. Kido plays it patiently, morning after morning, until the tone looks more even and the mirror stops keeping score. 🤍
Every ritual needs an ending. This is ours.
Iro is the last step, the one that seals everything before it. A light gel emulsion with hyaluronic acid, centella and colloidal oatmeal that absorbs without a film, so nothing sits on the skin overnight.
In a 30-day perception study, 100% agreed it felt gentle and 94% agreed it reduced the feeling of skin dryness.
Lights out. 🌙

Go ahead. Look closer.
Kirei: sulfate-free, cleansed with decyl glucoside and cocamidopropyl betaine, pH balanced.
Nihon: sodium ascorbyl phosphate, a stabilized form of vitamin C, with vitamin E and ferulic acid.
Kido: kojic acid dipalmitate and alpha-arbutin, not hydroquinone.
Izumi: copper tripeptide-1, which signals renewal instead of forcing it.
Iro: centella asiatica, colloidal oatmeal and beta glucan.
Gaman: solid in the jar, oil on contact.
Six textures. Six reasons they are what they are. Good actives work in silence. 🌿

Read the label out loud.
Copper Tripeptide-1. Resveratrol. Lactic Acid. Niacinamide. Beta Glucan. Reishi.
Izumi works at night, and it works by signalling renewal rather than forcing it. No stinging as proof of effort, no week of peeling to earn the result. In a 30-day perception study, 94% agreed it felt gentle on their skin and 100% agreed it layered well with the rest of their routine.
Fragrance-free. Alcohol-free. Sulfate-free. Nothing in here to prove a point. 🌙
Nothing to fix.
Fifteen seconds of foam, and no instructions. Kirei is sulfate-free and pH balanced, built to take the day off without taking the barrier with it. Tested under the control of a dermatologist, non-irritant for a single application.
Cleansing was never meant to be a trauma. 🫧
