she came to me as a gift raffle winner, but somehow this appointment ended up feeling like a gift to me too.

when she looked at herself after we were finished, i watched her whole face light up. she had tears in her eyes because she felt beautiful.

and THAT is the part of lashing that will never get old.

lashes might seem like such a small thing, but seeing someone sit a little taller, smile a little bigger, and walk out feeling more confident than when they walked in… that’s everything to me.

moments like this bring me right back to my why.

for her set, i mixed Light Heart Lash fawn, lucky penny + black to complement her gorgeous coloring instead of overpowering it and i’m obsessed with how soft and natural this blend turned out 🤎

being a lash educator is so much more than teaching someone how to put a lash extension on. 🤍

when a student comes to train with me, my goal isn’t just for her to leave knowing how to make a pretty set.

i want her to understand the WHY behind what she’s doing.

why we isolate the way we do.
why styling matters.
why sanitation matters.
why adhesive behaves differently from day to day.
why client consultation matters.
why retention isn’t always as simple as “your glue sucks.”

and honestly? every time i prepare for another student, i learn too.

today i’m sitting down and going back through my training manual before my next student comes at the end of the month, updating things, adding things i’ve learned behind the chair, and making sure the education i’m giving now is better than the education i gave yesterday.

because this industry keeps changing.

and if i’m going to call myself an educator, i better keep learning right alongside my students. 🤍

i don’t want to create lash artists who just know the steps.

i want to create lash artists who understand their craft, trust themselves behind the chair, and have a foundation they can actually build a career on.

that’s the kind of education i believe in. 🎓✨
