At Iron & Quill Salon, we believe caring for people also means caring for the planet we all share.

That’s why we invest in a monthly membership with Green Circle Salons, a beauty waste recovery program.

Instead of throwing everything away, we collect, separate, pack, and ship our salon waste to be responsibly recycled, repurposed, or recovered.

Hair clippings, used foils, rubber gloves, leftover hair color, color tubes, metal cans, plastics, paper, and cardboard all have a better place to go.

Some materials become new products. Hair can be composted or repurposed. Metals are recycled. Leftover color and certain single-use materials are responsibly processed through energy recovery.

It’s about taking responsibility for what we create, including our waste.

We’re not perfect, and we don’t pretend to be. But we care deeply about this planet and the impact our choices have on it.

We believe businesses have a responsibility to participate in creating better systems, not just wait for someone else to do it.

We’re doing our part with what we know today, and as we learn better, we’ll continue to do better.

Iron & Quill Salon

For this hair session, we added lowlights to blend with her natural hair, matching her beautiful cool tones.

We also gave her a fresh cut to support her natural wave, giving her the freedom to air-dry and let her hair do its thing!

In about six weeks, this color will begin to shift a bit, and that’s completely expected. We discussed the process, maintenance, and what to expect during our 30 min consultation a few days before her appointment.

This is why we value consultations so much. We get to explore the possibilities, understand the hair’s history, and create a realistic plan together.

Our color consultations are 30mins/ $50 , and when you book your color appointment during that initial consultation, the $50 is applied toward your service.

Beautiful hair is about having choices, working with what naturally grows from us, and creating something that fits our lives.
