Like most of our remedies… Golden Shot started because I needed it myself.

Before Herbalish was born, I was a tired, inflamed mom dealing with digestive issues, body aches, hormonal ups and downs and what felt like a constantly struggling immune system.

That was the beginning of Golden Shot. (Second & third picture is my first Golden Shot ever!) The recipe has changed a lot since then. I’ve refined it, added ingredients and made it much more potent… but the reason behind it has stayed the same.

I wanted one little daily drink that could support my whole body.

For a while, I barely advertised it and even considered taking it off the website.

Then I sent one email about it… and that batch sold out, then the next one and the next one...

Before Herbalish was born we had a family member staying with us who came down with the sickness. I had little babies at home, and my husband was working offshore. I knew I’d be in a serious bind if I got sick, too.

I had remembered certain species of pine had a long history in traditional herbal medicine. Living in the suburbs, I didn’t have many trees to work with, but the two growing in my backyard turned out to be exactly what I needed. I harvested needles from our pine tree, gathered a handful of herbs, tea bags, and ingredients from my kitchen, and brewed a strong tea.

We all drank it every few hours and by the next morning, our guests were feeling better, and I never ended up getting sick. They couldn’t believe it and honestly we were surprised how well it worked too!
That was the beginning of ImmuniTEA.

Over the years, I continued refining my original recipe, but it wasn’t until our family began making more trips to Colorado mountains that ImmuniTEA really started to evolve. I fell in love with the blue spruce growing there. There’s something about those mountains that feels incredibly healing to me. The fresh air, the herbs growing along the rivers, the peacefulness. I wanted to bottle up a little piece of that energy and share it with everyone I could.

So I began using blue spruce instead of pine, bringing that fresh, mountain-inspired flavor & potency into my original brew. Combined with carefully selected herbs, citrus, and warming spices, the result is a rich, extra-strength herbal concentrate that tastes like Christmas or you’re sipping c***r in the mountains. 🌲

And apparently, we’re not the only ones who love it! We’ve had customers tell us they serve ImmuniTEA at parties and gatherings. Some even call it their “knockout tea,” a nickname inspired by their own experiences with how quickly it worked for them.
