Treatments I’m Skipping (And Why)

In the aesthetics world, more isn’t always better. Here is why I personally pass on these popular procedures:

• Thread Lifts: The results are often too temporary, and the potential for internal scarring can complicate future treatments.

• Kybella: The “bullfrog” swelling and significant downtime often don’t justify the results when compared to other modalities.

• CoolSculpting: The risk of Paradoxical Adipose Hyperplasia (PAH) is a permanent complication I’m not willing to gamble on.

• RF Microneedling: If depth and heat aren’t perfectly managed, there is a risk of losing the facial fat pads that keep us looking youthful.

• Ellacor: As a newer “micro-coring” tech, the risk of texture issues or track-mark scarring outweighs the tightening benefits for me.
