Salwaa's Spicy Prawns

Salwaa Smith - Cape Malay Cooking & Other Delights
From My Kitchen To Yours - keeping our heritage alive

Mix in a bowl
2 TBSP seafood spice
1 tsp cayenne pepper
1 tsp salt
Juice of a large lemon
1 TBSP garlic paste
A few TBSP olive oil / vegetable oil to make a paste

Rub the spice mixture all over the prawns, leave to marinate for at least 30 minutes. The longer the better.

Shallow fry 2 minutes a side on medium heat or grill in the oven for about 10 minutes at 190°C.
