There is something rather lovely about a natural updo. It requires no grand occasion and certainly no explanation. Whether headed to work, dinner, a special event, or simply going about your day, a beautifully styled updo has a way of making you feel just a little more put together.
And natural hair, as we know, is never without possibilities.

GRAY HAIR DESERVES ITS OWN CARE ROUTINE. 🤍
Naturally gray hair is beautiful, but keeping it bright, soft, and healthy requires a little intention.
Here are three things I pay close attention to when caring for naturally gray hair:
🔑KEEP THE GRAY BRIGHT.
Gray and silver hair can pick up unwanted yellow or brassy tones from heat, product buildup, minerals, and the environment. While purple shampoo is a popular choice, one of my personal favorites is Matrix Brass Off. I love the blue-violet toning effect for keeping certain shades of gray looking cooler, cleaner, and fresher.
🔑MOISTURE MATTERS.
Gray hair can often feel drier or more wiry as the hair changes with age. Moisture, conditioning, and being mindful of how much heat we use can make a noticeable difference in softness, manageability, and shine.
🔑PROTECT THE HAIR YOU HAVE.
Healthy gray hair isn’t just about keeping it silver. It’s about maintaining the integrity of the strand. Gentle detangling, regular trims, thoughtful heat styling, and protecting the hair from unnecessary stress all matter.
And for finishing? Moroccanoil Treatment Purple is another favorite of mine. It gives the hair that softness and beautiful shine I want while its violet pigments help counter unwanted yellow and brassy tones.
