I worked in 4 different commission salons before I went out on my own in 2019 (pregnant with my twins 😅). I upgraded my first space to one with a window, redecorated, then rented a second space and started training. We clients would ask if I was headed to opening a brick-and-mortar I always said "No way"!

So what changed?

I knew stylists who quite after working in a suite. They realize that working in a suite is running a business. Marketing, self employment tax, stocking color, booking your clients, all of it is your responsibility. And they felt like going back to a commission-based salon would feel like a failure. Because it can be embarrassing.

I wanted to create a space where stylists could come to work, perfect their craft, enjoy time with their clients, be a part of a team, get a paycheck and go home. They could have freedom to choose their own schedule, they could have unlimited time off, and they could have a work-life balance that they craved when going to a suite in the first place.

It's ok to not want to run a business. It's ok to decide to go back to commission. Come to a salon that will support you AND give you freedom.

The learning never stops! We were so excited to have Redken Regional Educator Eastern North Carolina here to teach us about Rwdkends Blonde Idol and new balayage techniques! We are excited to share what we have learned with you!

Who doesn't love low maintenance color? But who should get it? For my grey gals, you might still want to come in for grey coverage in-between your Twice-A-Year Color visits. And for my deep brunettes? An occasional toner will keep the brass at bay. We can't wait to see you!

Have you been noticing salons closed on Saturdays or only working some Saturdays a month? Well, I'm here to tell you why. Because we have a life outside of our careers. We have families, friends, and hobbies, just like you! The rise of guests working from home has made a dramatic impact on hairstylist being able to have a better work-life balance. And we make it as easy as possible for you to do your work from the salon. Calm spaces, lap desks, and chargers are available for you. Please feel free to bring your laptops put in your headphones and work away! We will work around whatever you need! And for guests that just can't make it in on a weekday, we are currently here two Saturdays out of the month for you to get your appointments in. And if that's your preferred time, you're more than welcome to book out two appointments to make sure that you keep your preferred Saturday appointment. ❤️

You do not have to cover all of your grey. Full stop. Sometimes we don't want the hassle of having to grow out color when we're ready to embrace all of it, sometimes we think that our gray makes us feel bad ass and we want to enhance it. However you feel about your grey we are here to give you options, not to tell you it's time to cover it up.
