It’s hard to explain Southern Roots until you’ve spent a little time here.
It’s a luxury salon where you might see a baby walker tucked beside a station. Where the couches were thrifted because we wanted them to feel comfortable and lived-in—not like you’re afraid to sit down.
It’s color bowls on the counter, extensions being installed, someone learning a new technique, and a team constantly pushing themselves to get better at their craft.

It’s conversations that go way beyond hair. Celebrating the good news, talking through the hard seasons, laughing way too loud, and getting to know the people who sit in our chairs.
It’s a place where motherhood and entrepreneurship can exist in the same room. Where real life doesn’t have to be left at the door to be professional.

It doesn’t always look like perfect balance. Sometimes it looks like doing pigtails before the day gets started, answering a million questions with a baby on my hip, and slowing down between clients because she wants Mama to read her a book.

I’m building something I’m incredibly proud of, but I’m also raising the little people I’m doing it all for.

I don’t want success to mean rushing through these years. I want my children to remember being part of it—the ordinary mornings, the days spent at the salon, the books between appointments, and watching their mama work for something she believed in.

The business can grow.
The dream can get bigger.
And I can still slow down enough to be Mama. 🤍
