Aquarius wasn’t just a color palette for me, it was the whole reason I fell for this theme. I’m an Aquarius myself, so in a way, this theme found me before I found it.

There’s this pull Aquarius has: it’s an air sign, but everyone pictures the water bearer pouring something invisible and infinite out into the world. That contradiction became my whole design. I didn’t want these lashes to cover anything. Instead, I wanted them to feel like they were pouring off the lash line into something bigger.

To bring that to life, I worked in sections, each one four layers— every lash placed to feel less like a shape and more like it was still floating and flowing.

This competition challenged me to think beyond technique and trust movement over precision. Keeping that layered structure exact while landing every colored lash exactly where it needed to sit pushed my process further than any set I’ve built before.

I’ve been putting more of a focus on brows the past few years and I still get giddy at the reveal— every single time.
