We couldn’t be more excited to have been featured in Gulfshore Life magazine’s Healthy Life issue ✨
What a perfect time to push the wellness conversation toward Place. We believe the places we inhabit are never neutral. They influenced the rhythms of our days, the quality of our relationships, our capacity to restore, our ability to focus, and even the way we care for the people and the places around us. Every environment participates in human experience, whether intentionally designed or not.
Thank you to annamarie for listening to our story, to the magazine for opening the conversation, and to our fellow designers helping to push the boundaries one step closer to a life better designed. 😉
Shocker… I love the color blue💙🩵 I find it soooo soothing and wearing blue makes me feel like myself in any situation. So, it’s no surprise that you’ll find moments of blue throughout my home.
Color plays an important role in our everyday lives - Our feelings, personalities, memories, actions, and even dreams are associated with color.
Did you know that color also plays a major role in improving our health and well-being?
It’s true, our mental, physical, spiritual, and emotional health can be enhanced or, on the flip side, wrecked by color. Color can lower your blood pressure, increase your metabolism, make you feel calm, soothe your eyes, energize you, and increase serotonin - the happy hormone.
Because color creates emotional and physical responses, it’s important to consider colors carefully when designing your space.
My advice to our clients is to choose colors that make YOU feel amazing.

Taking time to dream, sketch, brainstorm, and ideate is imperative when it comes to creating unique spaces and designs that set us apart. To be honest, we could spend all of our time dreaming up new ways to add plants to all of our biophilic interior plans 😉
We have a few things in the works and are spending our summer in creation mode.
Feel free to share any of your ideas or things you’d like to see us create in the comments below👇🏻 It’s shaping up to be a fun summer.

Don’t you just love seeing a vision come to life?
It’s a magical moment when a project reaches the final stages of completion. Simply put, it is “abstract chaos transitioning to tangible reality.”
🔔Teaser Alert: As we make the final selections of this beautifully photographed space, we’re putting the finishing touches on the story of how this spa-bungalow by the sea came to life. We’ll be sharing all very soon.

This week, I had the honor of presenting along side three amazing ladies, as part of the Empowering Women Networking Series.
I shared how Wellness Design Group uses Emotional Design - designing spaces to regulate our nervous system.
My discussion was part of a larger conversation on designing to improve the human experience, but I shared a couple of quick tactics that you can do yourself to lower your heart rate, slow your breathing, decrease your cortisol, get you into “the flow”, and help you feel grounded and connected to your space.
☀️Let in the Natural Light - Natural light boosts vitality and helps you align with the natural rhythm of the circadian cycle fostering balance and good sleep.
👋🏻Use Your Senses - Engaging the sense of touch through the use of natural woods, plush fabrics, and handcrafted elements soothes overstimulation and restores focus.
🌱Add a Plant - Integrating nature aand greenery will significantly reduce stress and improve mental health.
Apply Color - Specific hues will set the mood for relaxation and healing (i.e. blues for calm, green for balance, and white/cream to quiet the mind).
If you need our help and you’re ready to get regulated, contact us!

This is our promise! We believe we can impact health and the human experience by changing the way we build and design our spaces.
We look at the invisible layers of a space—the air quality, chemical exposure, light patterns, acoustics, and sensory cues that shape how your nervous system responds. We consider how the body interprets safety, stress, and restoration through its surroundings.
We also reconnect spaces to nature. Through natural materials, light, texture, pattern, and form, we reintroduce the elements our biology has always depended on. This is where science meets something deeper—an innate human need to feel grounded, calm, and connected.
This doesn’t require extreme design or rigid aesthetics. It requires intention.

You can find joy in the simplest of places and in ways that will make you smile. Connecting to our environment by using natural materials in unique ways helps to find balance, tranquility, and joy within any space.
At Wellness Design Group, LLC, we craft spaces that honor the natural world and the natural rhythms of life. With a focus on health, sustainability, and soulful connection, we design homes that nourish both people and the planet - grounded, intentional, and truly yours.
A little behind the scenes action from last week… The lovely team helped us capture the magic and wonder of our latest project - a PURE home in Pelican Bay Villas.
Designing a completely PURE home has been the most significant project we’ve tackled since opening Wellness Design Group. In the coming weeks, we’ll showcase more insights and images of this pure home project designed for our client who was seeking to create a home to regulate their nervous system, restore human biology, and limit exposure to harmful biotoxins and chemicals that causes chronic illness.
What is a PURE home?
We define a pure home as an environment intentionally designed to nurture clarity, calm, and vitality by harmonizing human biology with natural systems. It considers the invisible layers of living—air quality, light, acoustics, materials, and sensory cues—creating a space where the nervous system feels safe and restored. By integrating natural elements through texture, pattern, and light, and choosing non-toxic, low-impact materials, a pure home quietly supports well-being and connection to nature. The result is a space that not only looks beautiful but feels inherently right, fostering a sense of ease, energy, and effortless living.

Natural light is a LIFE FORCE! ✨
We know through neuroscience, endocrinology, chronobiology, and environmental psychology research that humans don’t just “SEE” light - the brain and body biologically interpret light to regulate nearly every major physiological system.
When we walk into a space, our bodies are not passive - they are constantly responding through the nervous system, hormones, cognition, and behavior.
Light doesn't just illuminate. It energizes, regulates circadian rhythms, and supports fundamental biological processes. This is why we look at lighting as a strategy for support. If you're ready to illuminate your life, contact us today!
At Wellness Design Group, LLC, we design spaces that feel good—and do good. By blending nature, science, and sustainability, we help you create a home that supports your health, honors your story, and respects the planet.
We’re here to guide you to creating spaces that regulate the nervous system, restore human biology, and .align with how we are meant to live.
Healthy. Sustainable. Yours.
