Happy National Estheticians Day to all my fellow Esti’s!

Today is a celebration of all we do. We may be part of the beauty industry but there’s so much more to what we do than just “beauty”.

Our hands, our energy, our spaces have so much healing power.

This Fall marks 10 years I’ve been a licensed esthetician and I’ve seen a lot in those 10 years but in all honesty, the last year or two have been some of the hardest and I think most of us in the industry have felt the shift. It’s easy to get so wrapped in all the constant pressure the skincare industry brings and the pressure we put on ourselves that we forget why we do what we do.

I became an esthetician to help people. With their skin, with their stress, their confidence, the way they see themselves. To make new connections. To have creative freedom in what I do.

This career has given me all of that. Despite the ups and downs, the burnout, the questioning if what you’re doing is good enough and if you’re really making a difference, I’m so thankful I chose this path and took a chance on myself.

I’m so thankful to my clients who choose to spend an hour or more with me every month. You trust me, you choose me, you invest in me over and over again. Your loyalty means the world to me.

Thank you to my clients for your support and for my supportive circle of friends in the industry, I’m so grateful to have the people in my life that I do and to have had a decade being an esti 🤍
