Have you ever wanted to connect with your ancestors, hear from them and get some guidance about life, or a decision you need to make?

Well, look no further, our sister Shanda Domango is a respected medium who has joined us for every single Freedom Fête we’ve had, and this one is NO different.

Ancestral Medium and Movement Healer Shanda Domango is once again bringing her signature healing movement experience to Freedom Fête 2026 on Sunday, October 18.
It’s amazing what you can encounter when energy shifts in your body.

See details about what promises to be an extraoridnary experience at FreedomAtTheMat.com.

We are grateful for Shanda and look forward to connecting and being transformed.

Renew. Connect. Transform. Be there on 10.18.26 at the New Orleans Jazz Museum.

🌱 Wellness Wednesday: Grow Your Own Food

What if one seed could be the start of better health, stronger finances, and deeper freedom? 💚

In this Well Chat episode, we are inspired by Dr. Cindy Ayers-Elliott, an urban farmer, Founder of Footprint Farms, who was also named USA Today Woman of the Year. Her work in Jackson, Mississippi now reaches communities across 11 states.

In this conversation, we explore:
🌿 Urban farming and food sovereignty
🌿 The link between food, healing, and spiritual grounding
🌿 Growing in small spaces, like balconies, stoops, and windowsills
🌿 Tower gardens, raised beds, herbs, and greens for beginners
🌿 Women’s leadership in building resilient communities
🌿 Cutting food waste through juicing, preserving, and canning

You don’t need acres of land. You can start with one seed, one container, or one small space, and grow from there. 🌻

🎧 Watch or listen to the full episode on FreedomAtTheMat.com or your preferred platform today.

💬 Tell us in the comments: what’s the first thing you’d grow at home? 👇✨

On this Wellness Wednesday, we’re reminding you to give yourself grace. Lighten up on yourself some. If a friend spoke to you the way you speak to yourself, or thought about you. The way you think of yourself, would that person still be your friend? If not, be a friend to yourself first by loving on you. Give yourself grace today, and all days.

Amazing energy. Willingness. Range of beautiful women showed up to care for themselves on a Sunday afternoon.

Thank you to all who signed up and who attended. Shout out to photographer Rob Fox Rich whose “Sing About Me, I’m Dying of Thirst” exhibit of captivating Black American Cowboys photographs (see pics) donned the art gallery walls and accompanied us in our Flow & Grow session.

Until the next time.

I believe there is abundance waiting for me.  It lies in waiting for us to receive. This is for EVERY woman who only knows how to push. Who believes she must push every day to get ahead or to get what she wants.

Today we invite you to shift your energy to receiving vs pushing energy. Just like Sahn says “everything is going to come to me, what I want is on its way.” Get ready to receive.

Dearest Freedomette. This is your Wellness Wednesday Reminder “It really is ok to ask for help.”
Even Tamika admitted that she has a hard time asking for help. In this clip, she explains why we struggle with it and encourages us to get free from it. Listen ladies, so many of us have become so capable, so dependable, so used to figuring it out, that receiving help can feel uncomfortable. We may worry about owing someone. We may feel like we have to prove we can do it ourselves. We may even mistake isolation for strength.
But we were never meant to carry every responsibility, solve every problem, or build every dream ALONE.
Sometimes help is not a handout. Sometimes it is alignment. Sometimes it is community. Sometimes it is the exact answer you prayed for—showing up through another person.
And yes, use discernment. But do not let pride, fear, or the need to appear self-sufficient keep you from the support that could help you grow, heal, rest, or move forward.
This is your reminder, Freedomettes: you do not have to earn support before you receive it. Listen to full episode on FreedomAtTheMat.com or your preferred platform. e💬 What is one area of your life where you could allow yourself to ask for—or accept—help this week?💛

09/16/2026

We want all Freedomettes to find their freedom. And we believe one way to liberate yourself is through reading.

So, we’re thrilled this Wellness Wednesday to feature Win or Win: Your Playbook for the Starting Five by Tamika Tyson as a Freedom Lit book—and to offer three signed copies in our giveaway!

This is not just a book about growing a business. It is an invitation to get honest about your role, your goals, your team, and your definition of success. In Win or Win, Tamika challenges us to ask:

✨ What does winning actually look like for me?
✨ Am I operating from real value—or from ego and comparison?
✨ Am I in the right position to lead, support, build, and grow?
✨ What do I need to release, delegate, or realign to move forward?

Whether you are building a business, leading in your career, managing a household, pursuing a dream, or simply trying to create a life that feels more aligned, this book offers practical wisdom for defining your win and getting in position to reach it.

Enter to win at FreedomAtTheMat.com
through Saturday.

Three winners will be revealed on Sunday night!

Freedom begins when we stop trying to do everything, stop measuring our lives against everyone else’s, and give ourselves permission to define success for ourselves.

Good luck, Freedomettes! 💛
