It’s OK Not to Be OK
Can I tell y’all something?
It’s OK not to be OK.
Life is gonna life. People are gonna disappoint you. Money gets funny. Your plans change. Your heart gets broken. You get tired. You lose motivation. Sometimes you wake up and don’t even recognize yourself.
That’s life.
And it’s OK not to be OK.
The problem is we think we have to fake being strong all the time. We smile. We laugh. We keep working. We tell everybody, “I’m good,” when we’re barely holding it together.
I’ve been there.
One of my biggest struggles is asking for help. I don’t know how. Financially, emotionally… I’ve always felt like I had to figure it out on my own. Even when I know it’s OK to ask, it’s still hard.
But I’m learning something.
Sometimes healing doesn’t come from one big miracle. Sometimes it comes from the little things. Change what you’re eating. Go for a walk. Put on that song that always lifts your spirit. Dance in your living room. Sit outside. Breathe. Pray. Laugh. Drink your water. Love on yourself a little harder.
Sometimes that’s enough to remind you that you’re still here.
We spend so much time trying to become “OK” that we forget healing isn’t a destination. It’s something we choose every single day.
So if you’re not OK today…
That’s OK.
Just don’t unpack and live there.
Give yourself permission to feel it, but don’t give up on yourself. Because one decision, one habit, one conversation, one person, one opportunity… can completely change your life.
We’re all trying to get through something.
So let’s stop pretending.
It’s OK not to be OK.
But together, we’re going to be OK. ❤️
