There’s something so tender about realizing that breastfeeding changes right alongside motherhood. 🤍
In the newborn days, it felt like my whole world revolved around feeds — counting hours, sleepless nights, learning her cues, wondering if she was getting enough. It was beautiful, but it was also intense.
Now, at 2.7 years old, it feels completely different.
Breastfeeding my daughter has become a quiet place for us to reconnect. A little moment of comfort and closeness in between all the running, talking, playing, growing and becoming her own little person. I never really planned exactly how long our breastfeeding journey would last. I’ve simply continued for as long as it feels right for both of us — and right now, I’m genuinely enjoying this season. 🤍
And because breastmilk is still part of our life, I still occasionally make breastmilk soap for my daughter and our family.
Breastmilk naturally contains fats and proteins, and when incorporated into a gentle handmade soap, it creates a beautifully creamy, nourishing-feeling lather. I especially love knowing exactly what goes into the bar I’m using on my family’s skin — simple ingredients, thoughtfully made, with something incredibly personal at the heart of it.
If you’re a breastfeeding or pumping mama and happen to have a little milk to spare, I would be so happy to turn some of your own breastmilk into a special batch of soap for you and your family. 🫶🏻
