After a full day of clients, there’s something so satisfying about leaving the room fresh, sanitized, and ready for tomorrow. ✨ A clean space, a fresh start. I even play my crystal bowl to help recharge and clear the energy of the room. I’ll do the same in the morning to set the tone for the rest of the day! ❤️

Over the last few months, I’ve been reflecting on my journey over the past 20+ years as a massage therapist.
When I first graduated, I simply wanted to help people feel better. I even remember saying, “I’d never work in a day spa!”
Life, of course, had other plans.
I ended up working in several day spas, and while they gave me invaluable experience and helped pay the bills, they also taught me something important: I wasn’t doing my best work.
Moving from client to client with little time to truly understand each person’s story, goals, or unique needs left me feeling disconnected and, eventually, burned out.
Opening my own practice changed everything.
Now I have the time to listen. To ask questions. To observe. To create a session that responds to the person in front of me rather than following the same routine for everyone. I no longer feel rushed from one appointment to the next. That space allows me to be fully present, and I believe my clients feel the difference.
More than two decades later, I still consider myself a student.
This week, I’m heading to Maine for the first of a two-part advanced workshop in Sharon Wheeler’s ScarWork and Anatomy Trains fascial techniques. It’s a reminder that no matter how many years of experience we have, there is always more to learn.
It’s easy to become comfortable with what we know, but continuing education challenges us to see with fresh eyes, refine our skills, and deepen our understanding. Every course is an opportunity to bring new techniques, greater awareness, and a more thoughtful approach back to the treatment room.
My hope is that every new skill I learn helps create an even more meaningful experience for the people who place their trust in my hands.
Im looking forward to thoughtfully integrating these techniques into my work.
Later this month, I’ll return for the second part of the training “reassembling women after childbirth” a workshop that feels meaningful and needed, given my passion for supporting people through pregnancy and postpartum recovery.
Anatomy Trains
At my recent yoga retreat, I spent some time reflecting on my yoga journey.
We often think the obstacles are outside of us…the unexpected detours, challenges or “18 wheelers” that life throws our way.
What I realized is the biggest obstacle is our own self doubt, fears, comparison or belief that we are somehow behind.
During the retreat, I kept coming back to the idea is Svadharma “our own unique path”
It reminded me that my journey doesn’t have to look like anyone else’s, and neither does yours.
The Bhagavad Gita teaches “it is better to do one’s own dharma/duty, though imperfectly, than to do another’s dharma perfectly” (18:47)

“Collective effervescence” seems to be having a moment right now as people reflect on how the Knicks brought New Yorkers together. 💙🧡
Seeing so many conversations about it made me think about something I’ve heard Sri Dharma Mittra speak about for years. “Collective consciousness”
While collective effervescence describes the powerful feeling that arises when people share an experience, yoga invites us to look even deeper, toward the idea that beneath our individual lives, we are already connected through a shared consciousness.
This week, I’ve been experiencing that connection in a very different setting.
Not in a crowded city street, but while watching the sunrise over a Vermont lake, listening to loons call across the water, and paddling quietly through the stillness.
Whether it’s thousands of people cheering for the same team or a moment of awe in nature, both have a way of softening our sense of separation.
Perhaps that’s why these moments stay with us. They remind us that we are part of something larger than ourselves, connected not only to one another, but also to the natural world around us.
Have you had a feeling of collective effervescence or consciousness? Share below.
🏀💙 Tonight is Game 3 and New York Knicks fans everywhere are feeling ALL the emotions.
Whether you’re cheering from the couch, pacing the living room, or trying to keep your blood pressure in check during the fourth quarter, I’ve got an aromatherapy blend for that. 😄
My Calming Blend combines:
💙 Blue Tansy — soothing and emotionally grounding
💜 Lavender — calming and relaxing
🍊 Mandarin — uplifting and comforting
(And other secret ingredients)
It’s a favorite in my treatment room, especially for pregnancy massage clients who need a little extra support for their nervous system.
Knicks fans, you might want to borrow some tonight. 😉
What are your Game 3 predictions? I’m predicting a baby boom for next March! 🤰🏼👶🏻

Ever checked my schedule and thought...
💭 “Ugh, nothing works with my schedule.”
Good news! 🌿
I’ve added a Waitlist feature to online booking.
If the appointment time you want isn’t available, you can now add yourself to the waitlist and be notified if an opening becomes available.
A few things to know:
✨ You’ll receive a notification if a spot opens.
✨ Appointments are not automatically reserved.
✨ Availability is first-come, first-served, so if you receive a notification and the time works for you, book it as soon as possible.
This is a new feature I’m excited to offer and I’m hopeful it will help more clients get the appointment times they need.
Have you ever wished a spot would magically open up? It just might. 💆♀️✨

✨ Employee Appreciation Week… but make it deeply restorative ✨
This week I stepped out of my treatment room and into a local company to offer 20-minute Reflexology sessions for their team 👣
I’ll be honest… I rarely take my massage table on the road.
But this experience? I loved it.
In just 20 minutes, something powerful happens when the nervous system feels safe:
✨ shoulders soften
✨ breath slows
✨ mind begins to quiet
✨ and yes… a few people even fell asleep
It’s a beautiful reminder that relaxation doesn’t have to take hours.
With the right intention and touch, the body knows exactly how to let go.
Grateful to be part of a workplace that values their team’s wellbeing in such a meaningful way 🤍
If you’re a company looking to support your employees with on-site wellness (Reflexology or Energy Healing), I’d love to connect.
Seventeen years later… and she still remembered how she felt. 🤍
Yesterday, a client reached out and shared that I supported his wife during her first pregnancy… back when I was working out of my apartment in Queens.
22 years as a massage therapist… and messages like this still stop me in my tracks. 😮
As massage therapists we often wonder if what we do really makes a lasting difference.
But moments like this remind me… it’s not just about the session.
It’s about how someone feels when they leave.
Supported.
Heard.
At ease in their body.
Thank you for remembering me after all these years. It truly means a lot to me.
Have you ever remembered somethjngbfrom long ago, how you felt, what made a lasting impression?
